Why do I always wake up with a bad taste in my mouth?
Is it because I sleep with my mouth open? I'm trying to do otherwise, I mew and thumbpull but I still have this bad taste upon awakening.

thats just bacteria. floss before sleeping. if it still persists there's nothing you can do about it except for brushing your teeth in the morning. Which i hope you do. Everyone has bad breath in the morning

I don't brush my teeth in the morning, only after lunch and dinner. Sometimes when I'm out not even at that time.
The bad breath disappears after I drink a bit of coffee, and it is something I started feeling only relatively recently, some time ago I remember I didn't have it.

Try a tongue scraper. Get a stainless steel one. They're like 5 bucks and last indefinitely.

Brush before you go to bed. Also dental mints are very good for this / whitening the teeth.
>t. Trust me bro it helped me

seconding to clean your teeth before bed
sleeping with your mouth open is probably not helping

scrape the gunk off your tongue
then mouthwash to massacre bacteria
when you tilt your head back to gargle the mouthwash, make sure you stick your tongue out

It's supposed to help with bad breath? I use my normal tooth brush to clean my tongue and it's working decently, if I don't go deeply in my mouth so that I don't puke that is.

I do brush after dinner, ie before bad.

I guess I'll try mouth wash, for this I sometimes use olive oil though.

Yeah. Tongue scrapers are like an order of magnitude more effective than just brushing your tongue with your toothbrush
Bonus is that your tongue will go back to being pretty pink after a week or so

Try not eating a few hours before sleep, and drinking a little more water.
Basically have an empty stomach when you lay down.
