I'm thinking of paying for hypnotherapy sessions so I can implant some fake happy memories in my mind. I'll put it bluntly, I am not happy at all in my life. I'm 35 and am a virgin, I've never dated, never been on holiday, never had any happy life experiences ever.I'm thinking of getting hypnosis so I can implant some happy memories into my mind and this should hopefully make me happy. Kind of like the film Total Recall where they can implant a good memory into your mind. I'm picturing it now, I can have memories of teenage love, going to crazy parties in college, travelling the world while young. It'll be great and give me a lot of confidence. Has anyone had any experience with hypnosis? How does it work? How much does it cost and how many sessions do you need?
>>33925092I don't think it works that way. Maybe hold out for immersive VR and brain chips.
>>33925092That's not how hypnosis works. It's not some magical woowoo instant success spell. It might help you with your misery, but you have to think of it as a ceremony that will launch you on the path to healing. Note that you will still have to walk down that path.
>>33925092You're going to be even unhappier when it doesn't work. And If it does work, why would you want fake memories?Rather than fake memories, hypnotize your insecurities away instead. And brainwash yourself into becoming the type of person you want to be.
