hope this thread doesnt make me seem like an incel/neet, but if i get atleast one piece of honest advice it'll be worth it.i'm in freshman year of a relatively small college. i've got a class with a girl i went to highschool with and liked for 3 years. her parents didn't let her date in highschool & she was super shy, so i never figured it would be worth trying. i did give her some obvious signs and she wasn't offput by any of them, just didn't reciprocate.at this point i feel like i'll be friends with her for another decade or so since we both went to the same college in a smaller town (coincidence, i promise) and plan to live there for a while. should i risk that by asking her out? or just move on and have a good friendship?not overweight and slightly above average looking, but an inch or two shorter than average in my country, neurotypical. if stories from what i did with her in highschool years would help make a decision, let me know.

Ask her out. She's probably a bit crazy but if you establish yourself as her boyfriend while it's easy, you are both young and have things in common, you'll get the coveted highschool sweetheart. If you fail you should be proud of yourself for trying.

If you want to fuck her back your best bet is to ask her out ASAP.The exception is when you can't act on mutual feelings like, in OP's case where the girl's parents didn't let her date.
