I need some advice as to best deal with my shitty job situation.
I took up a crappy job working in a warehouse. During my shift I sustained an injury on my foot that has put me out of work. I spent 3 weeks at home recovering. During this time my work comp had been declined.
My job offered me to come in for “seated, light duty work” which is me sitting at a chair all day not doing anything. No access to cellphone, books, or even a fidget spinner.
Since I started doing this work the company owner has been acting like an absolute piece of shit. One day he accused me of not clocking in. Later that day he came and took away my pedestal I was using to elevate my leg, (keeping my leg elevated was recommended by my doctor, but not put in writing) when I argued with him, he told me that this is now a standing only duty, and made me stand up. He did leave the chair saying I’m only allowed to sit as needed. Apparently, the contract I signed stating this was “seated light duty work” is no longer valid. I signed nothing else.
Over the next few days, he continued to harass me, called me a liar on multiple occasions. One day I was wearing ear pro due to a door alarm going off for an entire day that no one disabled, he told me to remove the ear pro. I refused, he then came back and gave me a logbook to keep track of workers coming in and going out through a specific set of doors.
He is clearly trying to piss me off to get me to quit, or have me fired.
I have a few days of this left before my next evaluation by my doctor at which point I expect to be back on my feet, and back to regular work.
I have spoken to a work comp and labor attorney, unfortunately it’s not a clear case.
What can I do to best deal with this situation?

id reccomend documenting everything and then going to a labor attorney so you can rape the company and get some free money. I think this would qualify as retaliation? reach out to one in ur area

that is exactly what a labor attorney told me and I wish i could record this, but without a cellphone in hand i cant do much.
i asked him to put down in writing that i can no longer sit, he refused
i asked him to put it in writing that i cant wear earpro, he ignored me.

only thing i can do is contact osha but i dont think they can do much at this point.

>my work comp had been declined.
Evidently the judgment is that the accident was your fault. You can appeal, but chances are that you (literally) don't have a leg to stand on
