Would moving to a third world country (for a time) be good or bad for a loner with low self esteem
depends what you make of it. you will certainly have a smaller circle of people around you with the same background (speaking your language and having compatible interests). you will have to rely on expat meetups and the like to find friends. but finding a gf might be easier indeed, especially in an asian country. question is, would you go as far as marrying her so she can go back with you or will you use her as a practice gf. it is all for you to decide.
