I confessed my feelings to her, but I forgot that she is also a little autistic. It felt like she was feeling awkward, in an 'I don't even know how to answer that' sort of way.
The next day, she was still awkward, and I got scared she would hate me if I were to push any further, so I moved the conversation to other topics until we eventually got back to laughing about random bullshit and memes as if nothing ever happened... Did I just friendzone myself?

Yeah, that's because you don't "confess" feelings. You don't vomit your feelings onto people. Its incredibly awkward and puts people on the spot. If you want to "confess" feelings you ask people on a date. Give people actionable information, not an emotional burden.
