A series of mistakes years ago, when I was 16, have resurfaced, and for the past 6 months the constant aching memory of them has been gnawing at my subconsciousness. Everything reminds me of them and I am slowly going mentally retarded because more than half of my thoughts consist of them. Is there a cure for this or am I permafucked and should kill myself

What were the mistakes and how did they resurface? Do you feel like you're making similar mistakes now? How can you progress further? What makes these particular mistakes so grating for you?

1. Resolve never to do the same things again
2. When appropriate, apologize and/or make reparations.
3. Do random good deeds until you begin to feel you're balancing the books
4. Forgive yourself for being human and thus by definition imperfect
