Why do I feel like I have this curse where I have to do everything 5x better than everyone else to get the same amount of respect/recognition?

It's not a curse, it's just life.

Not for everyone else, apparently.

Generic advise: Step back from your task and ask a question from a third person perspective ; What can be done to make this better? How will someone else do this better? Think out loud and write it down if required.

I'm not bad at what I do, but if I do and say the exact same thing as someone else, people seem to judge me more harshly even when they don't know me.
I used to think its because I'm short, but even people around my height are treated better than me.

Probably ugly. It's not bad, because it's evolutionary pressure. You end up being 10x better than everyone else because none of them had to work as hard as you.

Because you are most likely a white male. Non-whites and Non-males just get free social handouts and subsidies.

Because you're a woman in a male-dominated field
