I was like this. Developing a healthy ego helped me get out of that phase (I started exercising). Instead of trying to act cool, or lame, or nice, just be yourself. Don't try to act like anything, and don't try to entertain them. Be true to yourself and your beliefs, and you will find someone who will see your worth. It might be too late to woo the girl back, but maybe you could say something like "listen I don't know why I did (that thing you did) but I was nervous, could we start over?". She might not like that, whatever. But if she does, then you know you've found something worth pursuing.
