i wish we had strawberries
all we have is like some carrots some goldenberries some tomatoes some peppers some forest strawberries some blackberries some things i dont know the english name of and some herbs
>>
>>4806334
what is goldenberries?
>>
>>4806213
How do you grow them? Is it possible in a tropical climate?
>>
>>4806487
i just put the plants in the dirt more or less, they can be harder to get going in warmer climates, but aslong as conditions are right might get a bit less fruit but better than nothing.
>>
>>4806487
the important thing to do is to but some typ of dark plastic in order to choke out weeds around the plants also do NOT! fertilize to much pre flowering as your plants wont bear fruit if you over fertelize.

just ate some wild strawberries near the road yesterday. They have an even more intense taste than normal strawberries.
>>

its tomatoe shaped but it grows in this paper like peel

idk. google it. but theyre really cool.
>>
>>4807860
At least they’re not bananas with their speed run brownings
>>
>>4807906
contrary to what people believe you can stick bananas in the fridge and they keep for longer. provided they are greenish bananas (far superior to yellow ones with brown spots by the way)
>>
>>4807860
that's why I never buy them unless I know I'm in the mood. cherries keep much longer.
>>
i think i have a problem i eat like half a pound or more of strawberries in a single sitting
>>
>>4806858
That's because domestic cultivars of a lot of fruits prioritize size, and this is achieved by the plant by just storing more water in the fruit, making them blander than their wild counterparts.
>>
>>4808044
Do you dip them in anything?
>>
>>4808287
No
>>
>>4807908
overripe bananas are fucking nasty
>>
i saw an absolute fuckload of wild strawberres along a nature trail no doubt somone seeded them there

I've read that alpine strawberries are tastier. I tried to start some indoors from seed once though and they didn't sprout.

>>4807321
I just get the stupid "mock strawberry" with the yellow flower
>>
>>4806213
Do you get offended by the word 'farmer', OP ?
>>
>>4807860
>>4807906
You are like a little baby. Watch this.
>>
>>4808349
Nah but its reserved for the people whos agricultural work actually amounts to something beneficial for society aka. Not me
>>
>>4808516
Subsistence farmers exist. I'd say in the bulk that you seem to grow in extends beyond simple gardening.
You're a strawberry farmer.

You really think im like a real farmer?
>>
>>4808516
Most farmers are welfare queens whose crop is purely subsidized, so paid for that its cheaper to feed it to livestock than garbage. See: corn, onions. Also most farmers that fall under “rancher” hold <1% of livestock and are heavily subsidized, but talk like wolves would starve out the US despite losing more animals to their own pet dogs. The rest of our livestock is penned in CAFOs, piggeries, and chicken batteries.

Brother, you're growing fruit plants in the hundreds, if that isn't farming, I don't really know what is.
>>
>>4808363
if you don't eat your raspberries the day you buy them you have only yourself to blame
>>
>>4808664
I think you’re cute and have a fat ass
>>

thanks field update coming today
>>
Do the fake strawberry decoy rocks still work if they are left out all year? Or do you have to only put them down before fruit sets and then take them away when the season is over to remain effective?
