I'm tired of seeing fr*gs in every thread. Post toads.

Toad home
rescued this little guy from my dogs a few weeks back
>>4877857based toad saviour did you keep him or release him somewhere else
>>4877764mirin
>>4878007released him, I'm not equipped for toad care at the moment and I'm not sure I'd make him comfortable or happy
>>4878176You did the right thing.
What is proper toad care?
>>4878612>tank with enough soil to let them burrow>some hides to crawl under>bathing dish>some random other decoration like moss, leaf litter, rocks and plants for good measure>mist daily>feed insects or worms every 2-3 days, occasionally dust the feeders with vitamin and calcium powder>regularly change water in dish and remove poop done
>>4878622I have a GIANT aquarium, and I'm interested in promoting local fauna stewardship. I was thinking a grow terrarium with a bug drawing light on at night to fatten the toads up to winter over. Ive been picking them up off bike trails, and had 5 or so thumb sized juveniles and two whopper fattie adults. The house I'm in used to have toads that seemed to eternally live in the basement window wells. Had a neighbor who thought cats were feral pets, one of the cats came through and liked 7 toads and only ate half of the bodies all cause i didnt have covers on the wells......I need to get out of debt karmically for letting this happen.
This toad looks like an RPG enemy
I loved Blaster Master.
>>4878809How desperate for attention you must be, sticky man? Very odd behavior for an adult to take the time to engage in.

check out this toad i found, is it suitable
Aren't toads just frogs with warts?
I don't know the difference
>>4878875>>4878882i read online toads have different legs and burrow underground
>>4878875They dry.
>>4878882toads have dry, bumpy skin
>>4878875>>4878882>>4878913Toads are a specific family Bufonidae that are mostly land dwelling. But there are a bunch of frogs outside of that family that look like toads and are just called toads, like pic related spadefoot toads.
>>4879075>tfw you realize it was a shart
>>4879075Total frog. Can't fool me
>>4879236Yeah, you can tell because true toads have the poison glands behind their eyes
>>4879075Why does it look like that?
>>4879254Its the uncanny frog valley. I only rationalize it after. Frog eyes more on top and to the side. Ugly, compared to toads.
I prefer the type of toad that is part of a lineage that is SMASHED and SLAMMED
>>4879299Here's another fake toad
>>4879414Wet and gross.
