I found two kittens yesterday on the side of a busy road in the woods.
I took them to the vet, and he checked them over. Now I want to keep them and start socialising them. I watched some videos on YouTube, and the best guide I found was from Flatbush Cats.
They’re fairly relaxed and roam around — I can even touch and pet them, and they sometimes climb on me. After I gave them food, they started to trust me a bit more. But as soon as I leave and go back to the secluded room they stay in, it’s like I’ve become a stranger again. They run away and hiss at me, as if they’ve forgotten me in a matter of seconds.
Thanks in advance!

Is hard work, they're not made for this. Take your time.

Give it some time. Best thing to do is just chill in the same room as them and ignore them as much as possible. They will see you as calm and secure, and will likely seek your attention out eventually.
