[Sad news]
Keiji Mutoh (58) defeated Go Shiozaki (39) with a frankensteiner to become the new GHC Heavyweight Champion.
>>
What was the house?

is the frankensteiner one of his moves? wierd finish otherwise
>>
That is cringe
Also fuck I forgot this was on. Was the rest of the show good?

It was okay...

>the state of NOAH
Kobashi about to come back for one more run just to try to hand it back to the young guys again

Mutoh is now alongside with Takayama and Sasaki to hold all three major titles of Japan
>>

Kenta Kobashi?! He was like the Triple H of Japanese pro-wrestling during his heyday. Never put over his generational peers. Gave all of his heat to some sumo wrestling scrub (Takeshi Rikio) who failed to live up to expectations.
>>
>>12971395
To be fair he had to retire early. But it is true that they never gave the rub to their "second generation" guys and then they wondered why they didn't draw lol.

4196, much better than the 3564 that NJPW did for the BOSJ/WTL finals. It'll be a tall order for Bushiroad to beat it March 3 and 4.
>>
>>12971431
i mean it was a much bigger card than the BOSJ/WTL finals so i was hoping they'd beat njpw

I'm surprised the counted considering he was choking him for the pin.
>>

Not only that. They didnt leave early enough. When he retired, popularity was allready down. If new generation took over few years ealier, they might have had chanse.
>>
>>12971473
You're thinking of Misawa. Kobashi was already semi-retired in 2007.

It's Only okay when Goldberg does it.

>The Triple H of Japanese pro-wrestling
Bitch, shut the fuck up. Kobashi deserved the Triple Crown nod in AJPW for a good 5+ years before he got it. He was forced to sit in the shadow of Misawa/Kawada for part of his prime. Entirely unfair to compare him to Triple H. NOAH always had trouble getting their younger guys over, the fans just wanted Misawa and Kobashi.

Credit to Mutoh for not taking his toys and going home to crime for decades until returning to just snatch the title. He's been all pro wrestling all the time, and he still moves better despite having no knees.

Now Kaito beats Muto, takes the title and then takes his daughter.
