flick still feeling a little naughty the morning after. Since i use ChatGPT now, i keep track of storyline development and created...basically a primer series of documents to serve as a memory refresh/update to existing lore. What started as an AIDungeon 'get your rocks off' type of story has grown in a lot of very detailed and nuanced ways. Biggest problem is that there's no such thing as perfect memory within the reference window, so you gotta hardbake lore and detail framework as locked/logged memories that the AI can reference to keep the story and universe coherent.

Taking a note from AI Dungeon, creating 'story cards' that serve as core-essential memory really helps. locking/logging the memory is a GREAT way to work around/soft force the 'card' element from AI Dungeon into ChatGPT. My problem?....I love fucking detail so I've got 20 documents of about 20-30pages each of me conversating with the AI to establish the rules and framework. When I ran out of space in the chatgpt window and got the 'holy fuck your shit is too long' error (when it is unbelieveably laggy AF), I basically told the AI in a new chat - read these documents I load in order and make sure this framework is locked and logged a core memory to use in every chat since. now sometimes I have to 'requeue' certain aspects, like say...the detail of the shops around the academy, but its not a painful task at that point.
