Can I create a business in the US where my identity is completely private? I want to pay taxes and I'm fine with the government knowing who I am, but I don't want people to know I run a certain kind of business if I make it. Is this possible?

I'm intrigued.
>>
Curious about this as well. I looked into it years ago and seemed possible but it was pretty confusing.
>>
>>59304546
yes but you have to pay other people to run your business for you

Glad to see my curiosity is shared. I tried googling stuff, but I don't know shit about this area so I decided it'd be impossible to try to figure out myself because idk about all of the laws and such.

Register an LLC, your name is not public domain.
File your company under that LLC.
???
Profit.
>>
>>59304578
What can I look up to go about doing that?
>>

Thanks, Anon. This is a really beginner question, but could I just run the company as an LLC, or is using the LLC as a shell company important?
>>
>>59304592
>could I just run the company
Yeah, LLC basically pulls you from the equation privately speaking, since you don't care if tptb know of your business.
If you want actual guidance I suggest speaking to a financial representative or an attorney but barebones you're good if you register an LLC.

Thanks Anon, I'll look into it if I decide to make the leap.

You can pay llc attorneys a grand per year and they will open a llc for you with post address and all, some states have a private company register so no names
>>
is there a tier list for what states are best/easiest for it? what things are worth considering besides different tax rates?
>>
>>59304546
Trust/holding company/llc
>>
>>59304585
In most states, it's trivial to look up the incorporation documents which will include your name right next to the registered agent's.
>>59304546
You're going to need to pay a registered agent (so you don't have to file with your home address), just look for one that will set up an anonymous LLC in Delaware.
No, I'm not going to bother shilling you one.
Yes, this is much more expensive than just filing yourself, but that's the cost of privacy.

Came here to post this. Wyoming also works.

Pretty much any corporate filing requires you to list your officers, "members", or whatevers. There are plenty of businesses that bury that behind layers, or you could even hire a law firm to be your agent, but at some point you are discoverable.

There are a bunch of gun parts shops on the web, for the ones oriented toward the 3D printing gun crowd, which don't list any contact information on their websites and use anonymous registration to hide website ownership from immediate view, but even with those I turned up the owner of one by searching for its name in state business records (they forgot to pay their annual registration fees and are operating an expired LLC now, lel).

Any europoors set up a US LLC to do business?

Thought about setting one up through a registered agent and handle website businesses through that (payment processor, hosting etc.)

Why? Because in europoor you need to dox yourself if you host a website and then scam attorneys use your public address to send you scammy notices

Ex business owner here. This can be done but you must register your business in DC. It's the only way to do what you want. Look it up.
>>
>>59304546
yeah just ask the spics
>>
>>59305893
I haven't, but I'm a leaf and that's another thing I was looking at.
Seems like it's possible, and since you want to keep finances separate you'll also need a US bank account for your LLC. afaik it takes a few months to get the business number that you need to open a business account.

Why wyoming?
>>

>Why Wyoming
Each state has different LLC laws and Wyoming seems to have pretty good ones in terms of low bureaucracy, privacy and cost

They say something is wrong with your privacy policy or impressum or copy right claims, or that you break regulation xyz, its all automated and because you must have a valid contact of the responsible on the website they directly know who to contact, how convenient
