I think the world has just moved on from the India growth narrative. For 20 years we've waited.

Looking at history, I believe it might be that no country with such strong social classes/castes can truly break out and grow. All the successful societies seem to have required a breaking their social hierarchies in one way or another.

India just doesn't seem to have it in them.

Successful societies, or at least the few that have broken out of tribalistic bullshit of their own accord all seem to be heavily influenced by enlightenment-era principles. Its why the west turned immediately into shit as soon as pre-enlightenment cultures started getting the green light to infest NA/EU/AUS etc

Agreed, but I was also thinking about other places where there success that was not sustainable.

Russia: For better or worse for its people, became a global superpower after a shift from Monarchy to new social hierarchy
China: See above
Japan: Got cucked so hard in WWII their entire social fabric broke and a new system came into effect (with pressure from foreign occupation)
S. Korea: See above 10 years later.

Unfortunately the new systems they took (communism/oligarchy, state capitalism, dunno what to call it, sort of market based feudo-capitalism) aren't merit-based and are therefore failing. Not a great sign for what the US is becoming.

Despite constant attempts for Europe (beyond even the EU) to shoot its self in the foot, I still think that we are taking the best 50 year path. We just need to find a social model for a flat population and stop importing people for economics reasons. Big fat tax breaks/social services for your first 2 kids (only), take some refugees, and find ways to stop money leaving the continent.

I'd agree with all of that, minus the refugees
I know many of them have legitimate plights, but that's the 'foot in the door' for how we got here. Pools gotta be closed until further notice. As far as labels for the new power dynamics in /geopol/, I'd say its just naked oligarchy hiding behind the (mass media) veneer of however they want to be viewed. China isn't commie (on the world stage) anymore, but that's how they're sold. We aren't anything close to a democratic republic anymore, etc etc.
Europe will get better, but possibly not in our lifetime. The US could also laggardly put off real mass deportations, but the longer we do so, the increasing chance of balkanization wars becomes. Its a tough spot for feckless leadership. It also doesn't help there isn't a single honest leader in the entire fucking planet ATM.

Imperial Russia was a global superpower aswell

For countries that export exchange rate like INR is a good thing. Sadly 1 in 2 indians work in agriculture so it shouldn't even be in G20

How could this happen? Saars have been redeeming?

India is still suffering after shocks of the 50 trillion dollars stolen from us during British colonialist rule. India would be space faring utopia had this never happened. It is now divine karma in action that we replace you in your own lands.

The only one that actually seems like a competent leader, who is only a small time grifter (but still a grifter nontheless) is Bukele. Honestly I respect it. If you can pull a country (even a small one) back from the abyss like that, you deserve your gram of gold and then some. As well as the opportunity to continue what you're doing without a thousand concern trolls around the world in "humanitarian watchdog" groups trying to sabatoge your every move.

In the rest of the world we have a few based leaders here and there that are only "based" because they have the common sense to be skeptic against mass immigration, which should be common sense, while having dogshit opinions otherwise. We really need a few Napoleons, Bismarcks, Lincolns, Alexanders, Charlemagnes to stand up. Where the fuck are they? We are truly living in this decadent, rotting time of weak rulers and a pacified populace. Disgusting.
