I'm peeling so hard rn

Can i just check the tokenomics?

Companies pay for chainlink services off-chain to chainlink.
Chainlink gives them link from their supply to pay nodes.
Nodes then sell this link for actual money as staking is just a fun club to placate the community currently.

Is this not just a double depressing force on link value?

Finally its needed!!!

You forgot the part where users pay in link for services and have to marketbuy it (functions, automation, price feeds, ccip etc)
>inb4 muh i can pay in any other coin
Sure. And then you read the contract and see it gets market converted to chainlink.

CLL subsidizing nodes means they have the lever right now of how much inflow goes to selling (node subsidization)
>>
Yeah but needs:

- actual staking
- a huge amount of contracts that utilise staking as collateral

Neither of those things are coming

Do you know Sergey personally?

>the standard form of compensation to network service providers
...are there non-standard forms? Why would they word it like that?
>>61434937
>Sure. And then you read the contract and see it gets market converted to chainlink.
oh so >>61434797 is right except it will likely end up at $5 because the conversion in and out of link will not increase the price

how much do node operators actually dump? if sergey is selling OTC to mitigate dumps then doesnt that leave node operators to be the biggest routine dumpers? they get like 14% yield and the only one that seems to even do anything on the surface is SDL.
im not rallying against node operators but im trying to find out how low commoooonity stakers are in the pecking order

Is that the fucker from impractical jokers?

>>61434759
Yes.

Cope stinkie
>>

>it gets market converted to chainlink
and then it gets market converted to dollars, completing the net neutral cycle. the additional tokens dumped by chainlink then create the omnipresent sell pressure beloved by link marines
>>
>>61435068
All. If there was a slashing mechanism and different nodes with competing staked link then they would have incentive to accumulate. Currently there is quite literally zero reason for nodes to do anything other than instasell. It's not like they can pay for food with link so it serves no purpose to them.
