Old man tier I pictured people who started in 2015/2016 when getting 1000oz was easy.

/PMG/ Elite I pictured people who started in 2019/2022 covid era at like $14-$20

Everyone else I pictured as being starters from 2023-2025 where getting to the upper tiers is a true challenge.

check'd

I used to stack silver and felt it was a waste of time and money.

first I was stacking for the apocalypse that never came. When I was young I expected the end of the world but as I got older I realized that it's not likely to happen, if it does happen I'm not likely to survive it, and if it happens and I survive it, it's not likely to turn out the way I expected.

I also stacked silver as a savings account, but I accidentally got rich off of buying a house and a business. I got so rich the amount of silver I had spent 20 years stacking was barely a couple months worth of income. At that point it just seemed stupid to stack tiny bits of money when I could've been making enormous amounts of money doing other stuff instead.

I also got more into coin collecting, and coins did far better than silver. In fact I can still easily buy coins and then sell them for 2-3x gains in a single day, which silver will never do.

And honestly I wish someone had told me all this back when I was younger
Not that I would have listened

I'm not going to tell you not to buy silver. It's been a really good investment over the last five years I've been watching /pmg/

also I realize even if I told you not to buy silver you wouldn't listen.

I will encourage you to find ways to make more money so you can stack more. Turn your side hustle into a business and then expand it. Diversify into other hard assets. Don't ignore investments just because they're not silver.

but ultimately it's your life and I can't predict the future or tell you how to spend your money. Hopefully you do great. And if not, hopefully you learn fast. I didn't.

the truth is people outgrow stacking every day. You just don't hear about it because they leave the thread and never come back.

99% of the stackers that have posted in /pmg/ over the last 5 years are gone. Most of them probably don't stack anymore. It happens and that's fine. People's interests, priorities, and situations change.

100% if you sell it for fiat. Actual answer depends on who you sell to, online dealers will probably shave up to 5% off spot, a friendly LCS may buy at spot, and selling it yourself on eBay might get you a small premium if you stay on top of the price.

There’s a theory that the entire point of 4chan is to attract and identify a pool of the highest risk individuals (in different respects). To each other we are all Anonymous and so unnoticeable when missing. To anyone with control of the back end they know exactly who we are.

So if your posts identify you as a person of sufficient interest or risk, your local clandestine Mossad detachment sends a couple of people around and you tragically have an accident or a premature stroke or heart attack.

No one here even notices you’re gone. And the harvest continues.

It is usually difficult to keep interest for something that is not entertainment, politics or work.
Most people end up getting bored and/or dont think hanging out there is worth their time when they play vidya instead for example and it make sense, many people just have enough money to whale once.
Likewise, many (rightfully) dont feel the need to share their stacks.

Most oldfag here are either autistic or actual dragon.

Except silver you can carry into Japan without declaring it (if I understand the rules correctly). Gold is specifically required to be declared and taxed. If you hide it and they find it, you lose it and are probably also deported and banned from the country.

No, it's a flat consumption tax that needs to be declared at customs. They strictly ask if you're carrying above a certain amount and to check the checkbox if so.
It's a 10% flat consumption tax but you make it back as the seller so long as the gold you have is officially declared and you have the paperwork.
If you can smuggle gold in free you could theoretically make 10% immediately, just like that Spice and Wolf episode when they enter that city controlled by the Church.

I personally wouldn't leave for japan unless it somehow gets worse at a much faster rate than we are predicting in the US. The ability to enforce bullshit rules and laws is too low. That said COL is far too high relative to any form of social benefits, especially health. If youre a poorfag, leaving on a teaching program and springboarding into something else is a high tier strategy imo.

>>61438952
For 400oz, if its more than a certain % of your wealth, consider selling and repurchasing it. Bullionstar wouldnt be a bad way to do so. You're gonna get raped on fees, but I'm just not risk tolerant enough to ship it, personally. BullionStar should offer shipping to Japan and you can also just pick it up in Singapore or NZ. Alternatively you can just leave it while youre in an apartment. SGB might be willing to help too, but they're looking for net worth over 25k iirc.

Serious question who will buy your silver rocks when artificial intelligence takes over all the jobs and people have no money to buy anything with aside from a very small universal basic income? People will want food and ammo. Not silver rocks. No one will be buying rocks in a dystopian society where AI rules or in a collapse. as much as you want it to be true it just seems far fetched. Im not advocating against owning some silver/gold as maybe 1-3% of your portfolio. Anon. if robot manufacturing companies are buying up silver from individual stackers, don't you think they can send a T-1000 robot to your house with a machine gun and take your silver? What you stackertards don't realize is that once drones and robots become autonomous they can literally send a drone to hover over your house with grenades attached like you see in Ukraine war. They will use AI to track your purchases or to run code and see who is most likely to stack precious metals. The drones will be sent out and if you do not surrender your metals they will drop grenades on your home.

Who the fuck came up with this argument?

I just got these at my Local coin shop for $200 cash. Very nice, young white male was running his father's shop, well versed and friendly.

>I entered the small shop of what looked like a 12x10 office front with a man behind a counter.

>...oh im sorry im looking for a coin shop

>your in one, what are you looking for?

>proceeds to drop what was probably $50k in various bullion separated into different large gallon bags right in front of me, and my now speechless buddy, whom I brought with me to red pill.

>I have $200 cash

>let's make a deal

How i do?
My math tells me I pretty much got a peace dollar for free.

shipmates i have a confession, I don't want a fwtdhwahqad, i just want a woman who loves me to cuddle every night. I plunder and hoard this booty not for pussy, but because it is real money and having my money in the bank is literally giving your hard earned value to a fraudster who answers to liars and thieves. silver is safer than the bank should anything happen to the system, e.g. digital ID, digital currency, debts coming knocking, etc. fuck all that shit. can't wait for the next paycheque. I'm buying more now anyway.

No really you disingenuous fuck.

It comes out to about 60 for the kruger and asahi, and 40 for each of the peace dollars.
That man has been buying silver since he was a child and his father and grandfather probably did as well, well enough to make it and run a coin shop. If they can make generational wealth from shiny rocks, anyone can.

Your thought process is what's retarded, you believe in a scenario of universal income silver/gold lose their value? That silver's countless manufacturing/industrial uses are suddenly null and void?
You sound like a miserable doomer who's welcoming AI to replace jobs because you yourself are worthless. I work in healthcare, I won't be replaced. "b-but actually-" lol no kid.
Not all jobs will be replaced, and believing precious metals will lose value because of it is just really dumb. You're dumb waiting for the apocalypse because you have nothing to lose.

i like your euro junk sheet. euro junk is almost completely neglected here, and it's cool you plugged in live spot. consider sharing your sheet and adding a quantity column and sum total so anons can track their stack and value it at a glance. good work.

that tier list is bad and exotic PMs are less liquid. the idea for many here is to get ahead of a failing monetary system and buy in early to whatever system replaces it, since history says it will likely be gold and/or silver. for anons thinking this way, it's more about saving future liquidity than speculating on nominal gains in commodities.

you're going to need thicker skin, fren

What would you do with your stack if hypothetically shit never hits the fan and silver never has its day where it can be readily traded for land, lumber and livestock? Assume that you have no family to give it to.

I would melt mine down and forge it into a suit of full plate armor complete with a sword and shield and then offer it up as the grand prize in a lethal bum fighting tournament.

I buy Silver and that's it, there's nothing to talk about unless you want to get into more niche stuff like numismatics or the history of bank or economics. If you try to upload videos daily on just Silver, you'll be talking about nothing in less than a week.
