how long did you take? What was the kH/s? Was it on your laptop?
I have a top Laptop CPU 1260P and can only get 1.4 kH/s

24 hours of course. Roughly 3.0 KH/s. I have a laptop, my old desktop, and an intel nuc working simultaneously. I'm hoping to get some better equipment soon. They're all hooked up to solar panels.

The exact CPU models (you don't want to use these but in case you're curious):

Intel NUC: Intel Core i3-8109U
Old desktop pc: Intel Core i5-2400
Old laptop: Intel Core i7-8565U

Hash rate on the nuc is about 800 H/s
The old desktop pulls about 800 H/s as well
The old laptop packs about 1.5 KH/s

Interacting with XMR is a waste of time. Four years ago, I mined a few XMR instead of investing in BTC, and it was a huge mistake. XMR is a waste of time and money.

By the way the pool i'm using is called HashVault and it's very cool because the minimum payout is 0.001 XMR which is good if you don't have that much hashrate because you get to see real xmr in your wallet real fast
>>
I'm also thinking about getting a GPU rack and mining some ethereum classic (ticker: ETC) but I have yet to crunch the numbers on that, it might be worth sticking to xmr for the time being

Thanks for all the info, but I just dont see it being worth it on a laptop. I'm just damaging it in the long run. I'd need atleast 2 threadrippers for it to pay off the excess energy on my energy bill.

You gotta get a solar generator set up, no pain no gain

mining is price agnostic
it costs less to mine than to buy the asset itself

funnily enough, if you're "bearish" on any crypto, you should mine/stake it
it's literally risk free
