Have you started/founded a business from the very beginning? i.e. Not a franchise.
You don't have to go into great detail, but what has the journey been like?
I may be in a position to do this in the future (Biotech) so I thought it would be worth asking. I know where I am so I'm not expecting many serious answers.

That is dope. What field(s) are they based in?
I'm a complete noob that only did a single business module for my master's and had to pretend to be a CEO of a pretend company while trying to wrangle dipshit retard third-worlders to get a decent grade. What steps did you take to get them started? I assume you had to whip up a business plan for them and see a business adviser at first? (Please be patient with me)

Why are you asking /biz/ for a simple, straightforward outline that deepseek can easily coalesce from quality Reddit posts

I started my own business, then I sold it 2 years ago

i had a business.
i had the brilliant idea of renting a completely empty lot and building a business there.
literally started from scratch.
things were very difficult at first but 3 years later the business was doing ok.
seeing my success the landlord got greedy, kicked me out and took over the place.

the game is so rigged is not even funny.
i am done with trying to start my own business.

What businesses are left to start?
That aren't:
A) Already completely saturated by a global corp that puts the boot on your neck and renders your feeble attempt dead in the water
B) Competition with a local well established business that you would need mega capital and extreme effort to hope to compete with their clients in the community that they have built up years of trust and loyalty
C) Razor thin dogshit margins that a bad week or a couple of fake reviews can close you down

Anything anyone recommends falls into one of those and thus isn't worth starting. e.g:
>Just sell XYZ online
A
>Just power wash driveways
B
>Just open a restaurant

So you built on and renovated a lot you didn't own and expected to keep it?
That's silly anon
