Casinos aren't ran by brain dead retards that can be swindled by any corporation because buy shit solely for the logo on the box

>mass layoffs
>a rapidly shrinking number of people with disposable income
>a rapidly growing number of people buying groceries on credit, or just outright defaulting
>AAA being 10+ years into ballooning game dev budgets for increasingly stale, mediocre output
>games costing $80
>years old consoles getting marked up
>game pass getting marked up
>PCs being prohibitively expensive to build (now featuring prohibitively expensive RAM)
>Monster Hunter struggling to run at 60fps on a $2000 graphics card
We've reached critical mass. The games suck, no one can afford them, the writing is on the wall, people are scrambling. I wouldn't be surprised if they start trying to finance game consoles with BNPL schemes.
The only certainties are Nintendo, indies, and a growing number of people in the developed world playing old PC games and roms. Nintendo is a quasi religion and indies can innovate and be made the way video games used to be made - for little money by a very small group of people.
