What did he mean by this?

When Keynes said “In the long run we are all dead,” he basically meant:
“Stop telling people to just wait it out — they won’t even be alive by the time your ‘eventually’ arrives.”

He was calling out economists who were like, “Yeah things suck now, but the system will fix itself later.” Keynes was like: bro, later is useless if people are broke, stressed, starving, or done mentally right now. Humans don’t live in spreadsheets — they live in time, in bodies.

It’s also lowkey existential. The “long run” is a theory. Death is 100% real. Markets don’t outlive people. Growth doesn’t matter to someone who didn’t survive the process. So sacrificing real lives for some future stats is unhinged.

The quote is basically saying:
If your plan only works after everyone suffering is already dead, your plan is trash.

It’s anti-copium, anti-“trust the system,” and pro deal with real problems now while people are still here to feel the impact.

Just like all of Keynesianism it's gay boomerism. Don't plant trees cause you won't live to chop them down, so just chop down all the trees and leave your kids with the burden.

It's why Keynes said the government should just spend endlessly. It stimulates growth in the short term and by the time the trust in the dollar fails him and his buddies would all be dead. He was right of course, but this mentality is satanic and leaves you with no legacy.

I always thought it meant that he never really had an endgame to his theory of economics, but it made sense at the time and whatever happens next doesn't matter because he would be dead.

What it really meant is when people say
>What happens when the last BTC is mined in 2140 and the miners can't afford to live off just transactions fees wah wah wah

Idk bruh I'll be dead thanks for making me rich, good times

It meant he didn't have an answer for the critique that using debt to finance consumption would ultimately lead to inflation and a loss of productivity. Which is exactly what is happening.

>fix it later and let your children deal with the condsequences
vs
>fix it now and leave a better world for your children
The guy was a homosexual and it shows.
