What if wagies have it figured out? I used to think the NEET lifestyle was for losers, but now I'm wondering if my mindset is outdated. I know a few NEETs in their 20s and 30s and they all have so, so, so much more more time and energy than me. Most of them will inherit houses, and one of them has alluded to scamming the government for gibs and putting these in index funds. I suspect these people have more saved up than I do. All of them have learned random skills, some of which they can probably monetize if they need to get a job (I don't have time or energy to learn stuff, so ironically I might be less employable than these people if my current skillset becomes obselete). Also, these NEETs have consumed more leisure time than I will probably EVER consume in my entire life. I'm starting to get depressed and angry that I followed "the rules" when clearly they don't apply anymore. They're just boomer myths. Obviously there are NEETs in hellish lives and wagies in great lives, but as a general rule I think I've misjudged who has it better. Am I missing something here?
