Retarded

So what you want to do is take out the biggest (business) loan you can, use it to open a forex account set to 500:1 leverage, then do long carry USDJPY and net about 5% yield. Then use the USD to buy 3.25% USD 10-year treasuries. Use those treasuries as collateral to buy real estate and use the value of the real estate as collateral to buy more USD bonds. Put those treasuries in a money market account, use it as collateral to fund a margin account, and load the margin account up with as many 0dte synthetic futures on SOXL as you can (long otm calls, short otm puts). This creates gamma pressure on market makers and is a strategy anyone can do.

So I did some more 'research' on this IPO. It turns out this is one of the more interesting IPO to ever hit the market from a retail perspective. It seems Elon learned a few tricks from shitcoin launches of yesteryear and has applied them here.
>30% of shares are going straight to retail pre-launch
>it'll have a huge market cap on launch but only around a 4% float (~70b shares)
>70b shares are going to take some grinding at an estimated $250 share price out the door
>but sell pressure will be fucking NEUTERED since institutions can only sell ~10% of their holdings (depending on price and time), leaving only the shorts to drive it down (and the big players will be long if they want to keep their jobs)
>still a debt-producing company but has Starlink to carry it... also sinking assloads into AI and of course that shit will be a break-even at best

Honestly, that's mostly just arguing semantics. By that report Iran has agreed to restore amount of ships passing through the strait to pre regime change levels. Don't know how that conflicts with the statement that the strait will be opened all that much.
>>
>>62268197
You don't have to believe a known liar just because the other side is also lying. Fucks sake Trump has been caught lying several times already. Trusting a known liar isn't faith, just retardation.

>>
>>62268261
i've invested a lot more into even more despicable people than donald, but i don't vote or listen to politicians. centcom is a good follow though.
>>
>>62268262
Not really, the deal is meant to increase the volume of ships passing through the strait to pre-conflict levels, which is pretty much the largest issues for markets. While it may not resolve the conflict itself, it'll largely diminish the economic damage it's causing currently.

Though who knows if anything will come off it, but even Iranian sources seem to indicate that being the case so far, but we've been here in similar situations many times before.
>>
>>62268264
If Iran can keep the strait for economic purposes and humilitiate the US, they will try it. Especially since he's cucked out too many times by now

>By that report Iran has agreed to restore amount of ships passing through the strait to pre regime change levels.
Doesn't matter. The core issue is not up for debate according to them. The US has to bomb them into submission or admit defeat when it comes to nuclear.
>>
>he’s still shorting the market
ngmi
>>
We have reached the point where it's anyways irrelevant what Iran does. The US can agree to a ceasefire with itself and that's already enough. Just announce you won't strike after threatening you will strike, add some Pakistani, UAE and Saudi names, that it's their fault you're not striking and that's good.
>>
>>62268271
Probably? It's not like anything has happened yet, but from the information I've seen the two side's claims currently are:
Trump: There is an undergoing deal with Iran that will open the strait.
Iran: Actually, a deal will restore amount of ships passing though to pre-conflict levels under Iranian supervision and control.
That's about it. Whether that control will hold or pretty much anything else outside of it is to be discussed in the future negotiations.

Even then it doesn't really matter all that much until an agreement is actually reached and goes forward. We're already had pretty much the same situation already.

>>62268274
Possibly, but that's besides the strait being opened, which is what market cares about the most. Even then it may flip the tables somewhat as if the strait function gets restored, then the pressure for Trump to act quickyl may elevate, though I'm kind of expecting Israel to pull something off to not let that happen.

Either way I'm kind of tired of this discussion as it's just speculating about speculations anyway.

I made that post.

if the market goes sideways, you lose money to decay. If the market goes sideways for long enough, you blow up. But if the market goes up, you get money into the leveraged equities. If it goes down, you get money in the hedges

The 5% blow up rate is over 10 years, not one year.

There was a similar portfolio that some people used, and it blew up when the bonds bubble popped around 2022.
There was a leveraged x3 US treasurys ETF
50% UPRO
and 50% TMF
Do not use that portfolio. Good chance that it will blow up. Bond rates are rising quickly now.

TMF actually blew up and everyone with money in it lost their money lol

It did not end well when the bond bubble popped.

It was a portfolio designed for the falling bond rates from the 2010s, and worked well during the 2010s, but all that changed a few years ago.

>>
>>62268156
If you do run that portfolio, the math is very delicate, and doesn't have big tolerances. So if you think you can get away with running SOXL instead of UPRO you're taking your chances. UPRO is important because of its low volatility, and it's there for a reason and not just 36% TQQQ which has a higher chance of blowing up, and replacing UPRO with SOXL is an even bigger risk than all TQQQ. It's designed with fine tolerances for surviving big downturns, but if the math deviates it could blow up from a 40% correction at the wrong time.

This kind of portfolio works until it doesn't. If you get into a market, that's very crabby, and commodities are falling, gold is falling, and then the market takes a sudden dive, then it does all that again, and again. That's the kind of circumstances that it blows up.

Anthropic hasn't made anywhere near the deals of its competitors in buying compute because it had a niche user base aimed at coding, their user base has been recently expanding(eating the market share of OpenAI and Google) and as a result they've been spending more on compute, having recently signed a deal to pay $1.25 billion a month for the SpaceXAI data centre in Memphis, Anthropic also benefits from the deals they stuck with Google and Amazon who own equity in Anthropic, this allows Anthropic to use their cloud computing in exchange for their data

Idk why everyone is reading so much into these puts given the snapshot date of 3/30. Literally the pico bottom of the iran war fear. It seems way more likely he had these puts for temporary downside protection while the market digested the consequences of a once in a century energy shock, vs him randomly naked shorting the entire thesis his fund was built around. For all anyone knows he took all these puts off the day after the snapshot and let it rip for the next 6 weeks.

His fund and his paper are literally called situational awareness. Why wouldn't he position it at any given time within that context. A situation happened (oil supply shock), he became aware of it and its consequences faster than everyone else, and positioned accordingly. He probably became aware of the new situation (oil news fully priced in and market showing signs of being horny for new aths) faster than everyone else too, in which case I seriously doubt he held these puts through april.

I go on reddit and everytime there's some zoomer sharing his 1m networth portfolio due to picking a meme stock there's always jealous boggleheads seething that he's just "gambling" and that "he's going to lose it all". Yeah sure m8, have fun working until the day you die with your measly 7% annual return on index funds

I remember when I had supervisors bragging about 5% a year on their pension plan. That’s when I learned how the stock market worked and making 15% is doable on your own. I quit my job shortly after and did 180% in 3 years. lol lmao

What does everyone think of the proposed union pacific buyout of norfolk southern? Seems almost certain with the current admin that it will be strong armed through. Trump even talked about throwing some gov money into the stock.

The market is pricing in maybe a 70% chance of success, which isn't "almost certain"

Can't the jews tell their american cattle to either accept or reject the deal already? Jesus fucking christ. I dont want to trade when a massive deal can drop at any moment.
Americans are so fuckig retarded for unironically voting for the jews complete takeover. You should have never been in charge of the world

the funnier comments are the ones giving financial advice over something like a 300k windfall
like telling them to sell immediately, and that they've made it. it's like they're talking about 3million, it's very bizarre.
