Anyone heading to Capeshit Con 2024? Are you cosplaying? You better not be getting Funkos, fucker.
>>
Anyone noticing way more security and cops? Volunteers I've been talking to say they've seen nothing like this, not even when that guy got stabbed.

Yeah I'm a voulenteer there. I don't dress up because I get too warm already plus I'm fat so my options feel limited. If I was more committed to the bit I wouldve be inspired by a silent bob fella ive seen for a few years who just stands there and nods at people. To other anons post there does seem to be a lot but it's such a shit show I feel like they don't do anything.

Yeah, my normal cosplay requires a wool sweater. I only wore it at Fanime and Sac-Anime indoors, or if outside, so I could run back into the AC as soon as possible. Even then, my spirit gum fit my fake beard kept falling off due to the sweat. Dunno how the cosplayers here do it.

How was your volunteer experience? Mine has been okay, save for the fact we all got stranded when our 7PM shift was near an offsite we didn't know the exact location of, and the rover with us didn't know. Hell, Helpdesk didn't know. We had to run back to volunteer reg to get situated.

i went friday and thursday but didnt cosplay because it was freaking hot.

Ill do cosplay this sunday though because my niece is going with me and she will be my unofficial photographer. Hope the weather isnt too bad

I had an okay but suboptimal experience because our supervisor forbade us to take more than 1 day worth of PTO due to a large system transition.

I had no Saturday badges but did most of the cosplayers only come out during that day? I barely see any cosplay at the exhibit hall and lobby

So yeah im not gonna cosplay here anymore since its pointless

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I bunked at a hostel and my roomies were all there for the con. One guy left on Saturday, the other on Sunday. Me and the other guy were the only ones leaving on Monday. I also notice Thursday and Friday have cosplayers. Hell, my morning Thursday flight had someone from Hazbin.

The two friends I knew who went both left Sunday.

You could do volunteer for a Saturday pass. They allow costumes.

i know the board's pretty slow, but still gotta "lol" at how little attention this thread got
>>
>>10934093
It didn’t get attention because most cosplayers aren’t itching to go to sdcc. It’s hot, crazy overcrowded and the chances of getting a cosplay with delicate parts wrecked is high. Sdcc is more for people who are looking for merch or want to see celebrities. Honestly just google pics of the con and see how many people there are actually cosplaying

sdcc is a bad place to see celebs unless youre camping hall h
