I own a pair and they're as comfy as it can be given the design and lack of flexibility. They run at least a full size small. I got a half size bigger once and still could barely wear them so get a full size larger at the least.

I always feel this is kinda like the "I wanted Mary Magdalene but couldn't afford it so I got this instead" dress from Bodyline. They got those from more brands.

Just enough differences to not be a replica, but also still obviously trying to steal the feel of it. Also never as good as what "inspired" them. Even the fabric is like a cheap knock-off. Same colour, same lines between the roses. You need to look close to see it are different roses...

Also, this one is altered. The original Bodyline dress has no lace on the sleeves making them the same as the MM sleeves but with cheap lacing instead of proper bows. This girl also changed the ugly buttons for floppy bows making the point I try to make even more clear.

I assume the "I" means "Owner of the official fanpage" and not Mr. Yan?

That page isn't that old. Did they really start "very young" then stopped working a year ago because family? Like, what does he live on, family charity?

Also, bad JPN to English I assume?
>making family after getting a job.
>being the "boss" of a FB fanpage
>>
>>9982012

She's known for bitching that brand is overpriced and then wearing discount brand ripoffs and pretending like it's the original.

Also has questionable taste in textures and fabrics. Often looks like a moldy tree.
>>

>>9982089
You beat me to it, damn
Also, new fanpage link in pic related, because 4chan won't let me upload even the addon behind the link.

Also, that about page makes me cringe
>>
>>9982091
I guess some of Bodyline's newer items are great for trying to mimic brand items without being exact replica's so people can't nag. Especially lot of obvious IW and MM influences there.

I didn't know that girl to be honest, I just find it funny that the few often praised as "nicer newer dresses" are obviously based upon brand dresses with slight alterations.

I thought it was a reply on the person asking for good Bodyline coords (just go to the Bodyline needs better pictures Tumblr. As good as Bodyline can get, still often bad, but so is Bodyline). Figured that before that asker would go and buy all these dresses, it's good to realise it's a cheap knock-off of MM, even when not literally a replica. Most of their changed just make it less good anyways.
>>

Maybe this is why stock dropped to $5 for JSKs and then suddenly went back up recently to absurd amounts.

Didn't Yan get married to a woman who worked for him? Maybe they were expecting a baby so he sold it off.

Dunno, but with how much of a trademark that creep was by now, I wonder if he really sold it off. What would happen to all the Yan memes? Why is there a Mr. Yan birthday sale? Will those sales come back each year? Who is the new owner of this sex-shop turned B-brand lolita and bad costume store? So many questions are unanswered.
>>
Is there anyway to get a refund on something? Having serious buyer's regret.
>>
>>9982174
Funny how much shitty stuff they sell, and these lolita's here look actually decent. Also funny to see that lingerie next to the winter coats, and then bags beneath. And many of those bags aren't even in the online store. Logic combo. And what are those random nomries doing in-between. What kind of normies shop at Bodyline? What do they buy?

This leaves me with so much questions...
>>
>>9982184
No, just like any other store. No refund policy.

Some stores will refund or accommodate if there are serious issues sellers fault, but Bodyline doesn't even do that. Heck, you may be happy if they even reply to a mail you send in the first place.

You just learned why you don't buy Bodyline.

Nanchatte anon here. Bodyline's skirts are pretty much 50/50 when it comes to quality. Some you get are thin, lightweight, and costume quality but others are weighty, thick fabric, and are really good.

I know >>9983297 says the individual skirts with the bows are the good quality ones but I've found that to be the case maybe 3 out of 4 times. I got 3 really good ones exactly as they described then the 4th was costume quality with no adjustable waistband or hidden pocket.

I wish there was a way to tell going off the stock photos but if you happen to see a little metal piece on the waistband, there's your sign it's good.

Here's a picture of my cosplay-nanchatte fusion I wore years ago with one of the good skirts. This thing survived several wash and dry cycles without losing any pleats and did great holding my cellphone all day.

I have the original and while it's not the most amazing dress ever, it's a soft, thick velveteen. The lace is not cut perfectly and looks frayed in some areas. Perfectly acceptable for Bodyline. It is good on longer torsos, as the skirt is narrow and there is no waist seam. I'm a tall lolita at 5'8" and it hits just above my knee, but fits well in the shoulders and arms. One of my faves from Bodyline.
>>
Does anyone own Antique Clock? (doesn't matter if OP or skirt)

How's the print and general quality? From what I've read in this thread so far probably okay-ish?
I'm debating on buying it because on the photos the design looks actually cute and workable.
>>
>>9984332
Ugh, dont do it. It's not the worst, but it's really hard to make it look good; and almost all outfits with it are subpar/ita. It's the how to point out the newbie dress.
>>
>>9984165
Thanks anon. I'm on the tall side too (5'7'' with a freakishly long torso) and it's always good to know if something will fit me or not, especially OPs. The sale is over anyways so if I did want it I would have to wait until the next one because I refuse to pay full price for BL.

Has anyone else who bought something during the sale gotten a shipping notification email yet? They seem a bit slower than usual. I ordered Thursday, got a confirmation email right away, got an order completed email yesterday (tuesday 9/4) and nothing since then.
>>
>>9985712

>>
>>9983248

Maybe we can compile product numbers for the good skirts?
>>
>>9985745
That's kinda what I figured, thanks anon. At least the order complete email probably means my item wasn't sold out right? I got one of those $20 coats and I would legit cry if it had sold out lol
>>
>>9983248
I bought single skirts (just the skirt, no bow) and they are all really good quality. I got 4, and 3 are thick and soft, with an adjustable waistband and a pocket. The other is nice too, adjustable waist, pocket, but the material is a bit thinner and feels a bit cheaper. I do not recommend the seifuku sets, all of them I have have been a obviously rough polyester fairly below-average quality costume fabric.
>>
>>9984165
>>9984588
I have the original and it looks like shit. I'm 5'9" and while it fits okay, the fabric is much too thick in places (around the collar) and looks more like a costume than a pretty lolita piece. The lace, iirc, is bodylines shitty tulle lace and looks super cheap. I wouldn't recommend it at all. It's not bodyline's worst, but seriously, if you want to look nice just save your money. pretty 2nd hand velveteen pieces pop up for not much more at times.
>>
>>9985712
I got an order completed email but not a shipping email. Though for me I only had one item so I got the p-mail? option. Mine is probably lower priority.

I beg to differ, though, mileage does vary with how your weight is distributed. I bought it off of a girl who hated it for the same reason, and my neck and shoulders are quite lean in comparison, so it sits nicely without bunching on me. That is the curse of Bodyline... it takes a specific body type to make Bodyline look as good as possible.

Lolita fukubukuro is here!

Item #: fuku000
Price: 2,700 yen
Shipping: P-Mail 700 yen
Total: 3,400 JPY / $30.67 USD

Going through and getting the prices for all the items now so I can make a comparison cost/worth.

The usual Bodyline blouse material but otherwise really nice looking with the little pearls and everything. Only complaint is the staining on the collar underneath the tag. Hoping it'll wash out.

I had been kicking myself ever since these tart JSKs were around $10 that I never got one. Imagine my delight when that's what was in my fukubukuro! The color is one of my top picks as well so I'm super happy with this.

Here's the entire pack put together. It looks like instead of random items they're actually trying to give you a full coord now in the fukubukuro. I wish I had gotten one of the cosplays ones as well to see if that held true for it too.

Fukubukuro recap:

Item #: fuku000

Items inside: pan087, L553, L364, L560

Price comparison:
3,400 JPY / $30.67 USD (with P-mail shipping)
for
16,196 yen / $143.60 USD worth of goods.
If bought individually during Birthday Sale:
8,098 yen / $71.92 USD

So for the price tag I definitely think it's worth it since you seem to be getting an entire coord (minus socks and shoes) for the price if you're not picky about what you get.

Do you suppose they might be trying to clear out most of the old stock, and then bring in new items?

I'm dying right now because I need new shoes and socks but everything I want is gone.

I really hope the new owners can turn the reputation around and make it into a more reputable company. I don't like Bodyline at all as of right now because they (Mr Yan lol) are shady and gross, but if they had a better rep that would be nice.

shoes, blouses (they can take machine wash super well), I've heard people that stock up on the wrist cuffs as well. As for dresses definitely look at http://bodylineneedsbetterpictures.tumblr.com/
>>
>>10001406
Shoes are fine, but they get rarely restocked.
Some of their accessories and leg-wear are alright too.
Blouses seems to be okay for beginners or to pad your wardrobe, but many people don't like the fabric they're made of (very sturdy material unless it's a chiffon blouse).
Dresses and main pieces are a very individual thing just as you said. Many of their solid pieces are pretty decent. On top of my head I remember L087, L462, L325, L348 and L412 being safe picks. Same can be said for the sailor dress costume839. If you are uncertain about a piece, better ask twice before you buy.

Tbh a lot of their good stuff is already long gone and the things they offered for lolita until recently were mostly left overs of unpopular sizes and colors or just straight up unusable rugs that are made of awful materials and poorly designed. So putting together a whole coord with what they offer nowadays might be quite difficult depending on your size and prefered style. It may change in future if the new people in charge of BL decide to rebuild the lolita section, but for now it's really just an option to grab one or two things when sales are happening.
>>

>>
>>10001499
P-mail is akin to Airmail. I'd never heard of it before but it's definitely slower than EMS but faster than SAL.

Only problem is with P-Mail it says you're limited to 1 item (or 2 'fashion accessories') before they'll charge you additional fee for it (so basically like Airmail weight restrictions). I don't know if you can go past that without getting an additional charge or not but I just break my orders down into two item sets and never had a problem.

Just a word of advice in case anyone else has this issue: I tried to pay with card and kept getting an error, but apparently they are finally taking Paypal? So I was able to use the same card through Paypal with no issue.

Have you got a second email? I know with mine it was hard to spot the tracking number.

When you order you should get emails in this order:
>Confirmation and thank you
>Order completed
>Shipping completed

Both your Order and Shipping completed emails should have tracking numbers hidden in them.

On one or two of my orders I never got the Shipping Completed emails so I made sure I kept the tracking number they gave me from Order Completed. It's usually under your address info and hidden in the Japanese summary of what you bought.

I won't undo my Paypal claim until I recieve the items, but I wonder what the deal was. Did they just forget to ship my order? I wish they would give me some kind of reason why there was such a delay.

What's the quality of bodyline wigs like? Good enough to pass for lolita or shitty costume tier?
>>
>>10006014
Like most Bodyline they're hit or miss depending on what you get. If you go for the natural looking ones then they're pretty good for the price (especially now at under $10). I've got some coming in a week or two I can review but I've not been disappointed by ones I've had in the past. They tend to be a lot better than the stock photos make them out to be.
>>
I got my order today and I'm disappointed. I ordered shoes 522 and a nanchatte skirt. The shoes I already own in a different color and they fit me perfect and are super comfortable, but the ones I just ordered are narrow and slightly smaller, so they don't fit my wide feet comfortably like the old ones did. I'm hoping that they can be "broke in" and will fit better after.

The skirt I got in 2L, after measuring myself a few times to make sure I had the right size, and it's also slightly too small. I'm so angry at myself for that. I should have played it safe and bought a 4L. Fuck my medication.
>>
>>10006014
I ordered a couple, hopefully they'll be alright. I'll let you know.

>>10001706
If you want a corset without spending much money, the following stores have decent ones for super cheap:

https://timeless-trends.com/114-gemini-corsets

http://rebelmadness.pl/

https://restyle.pl/eng_m__CORSETS-418.html

I linked to a particular section on Timeless Trends' website as that particular line is known to be better than the rest of the corsets stocked on that site.
>>
>>10006359
Definitely do the trick where you put ziplock bags of water in the shoes then put them in the freezer to stretch.

Can you tug the skirt up your middle a bit to see if it fits better?
>>
>>10006413
If the shoes dont end up breaking in for me after a couple wears I'll give that a try. I'm so disappointed because the old version fit me so well and I just assumed they would be exactly the same. Wide feet are such a pain.

The skirt does fit better if I wear it high on my waist. It's really nice other than being a little small and being unlined. I'm trying to be optimistic about loosing the extra chub I'm currently dealing with, so hopefully it will end up fitting a little better eventually.
>>
>>10006481
Hope everything works out!

Already have this dress in green, it's really cute though. Debating to keep it or maybe just sell it. All in all, a pretty good lucky pack from Bodyline.

Forgot to mention it was the fukuu010 one, which at the time I bought it was $19.

Thanks for sharing! How much are you looking to sell the dress for? I had been considering it but it's sold out in black now. Not that I *need* a summer dress in October, but I'm a sucker for gingham.

Definitely a good haul for $19!

Seems like you're guaranteed a blouse, petti, and dress and then the fourth item is just a toss up.

I got my Pink Love Nadia today and the border print is definitely brown, not grey. I also ordered it just over a week ago with P-mail (I live in the Midwest US for reference)
>>

anon, i'd buy that dress off you in a second...regretting not getting it in black before it sold out.
>>
>>10008431
If you decide to sell it perhaps make an LM auction since you have a few people (myself included) interested in it?

That Halloween shirt that was unbuyable for a year is finally available.

Lucky! I'm the anon who got the brown one and mine is still floating around somewhere between Japan and the US. It's been almost two weeks. I'm in the Midwest too so maybe it will just show up unexpectedly?

Anyone own the L585 in offwhite?
I've been looking through instagram for more close-ups/worn pics, but hardly anyone seems to have it.

This entire page is (worn) pictures of the L585!

Reviews on their wigs? most of them are old / don't include their 'magic' wig range
>>
>>10010749
Me and another anon ordered some. Mine still haven't hit customs. When they get here I'll do a review.
>>
>>10010749
I ordered 3 wigs and couldn't find reviews for any, but when I get them I'll let you know... it's been about a week and a half though and despite getting a tracking number, it apparently hasn't started it's journey... despite another package I ordered being in the US already. Oh well.

You're in for a long ride. I ordered mine on 9/28.
>>
Should i be concerned if I made an order on 9/26 and the tracking number still isnt showing anything?
>>
>>10010827
Also I never got an email saying "your order has shipped" or anything similar. Does bodyline usually do that? I found a tracking number in the confirmation email but as I said, it's not active yet.
>>
>>10010831
Have you tried Japan Post? Mine said for ages on USPS that it wasn't active but Japan Post said it'd been picked up and sent through Tokyo.
>>
I ordered my wigs the 3rd and got it yesterday the 12th.

I bought this in wine for $20 with free shipping and figured I'd just put it on LM if it didn't work or fit.

The re-release is really, really nice, easily my best Bodyline item. It's not bunchy re: velveteen, the velveteen itself is really nice and heavy, and the lace is cut evenly. It's nicer than some of my newer AP honestly.

I have broad shoulders and was worried it would be too small there, but the M size is perfect. I would recommend this dress immensely.

Dude I ordered at the same time and my tracking number still says exactly the same status as yours. Nothing since the 7th. I'm getting impatient.
>>
>>10010986
Have you had or seen the original release before for comparison?
>>
>>10011111
I have not. Was going off of what other anons were saying about their issues with the first release.
>>
>>10008430
Shit, that blouse (the one on the right) actually looks pretty nice. I've never bought a blouse from Bodyline because I assumed the fabric would be stiff, uncomfortable etc.

How does the fabric feel?

I did, Japan post says item not found....

UK anons, how likely am I to get hit by customs if I order a pair of shoes with pmail shipping?
>>
>>10011564
Ouch. Maybe try to contact Bodyline? Worth a shot.
>>
>>10011564
sometimes that happens and you need to check your local Postal Service tracking system , hope it helps
>>
>>10011727
both USPS and Japan Post say nothing about the item

>>10011699
yeah...i was hoping I wouldnt have to. Ah well.

What does magic wig mean, the pictures don't make sense to me. Is it clip in extensions or something weird? An adjustable size cap?

I think because they are heat resistant to 160 degrees, so you can straighten or curl it.

That makes sense I was just confused by the weird thumbnails in the listing photos (inside the wig cap, the hair, etc.)
