how do you cook eggs in one of these things it just sticks super badly whenever i try
>>
>>20974408
get it hot first, than put some oil and spread it around so it coats every part of the pan, than drop the eggs, if it still sticks, the pan is shit.
>>
>>20974419
i dont wanna get a new pan though, i just wanna use mine
>>
>>20974440
Well then do this>>20974419
Is this your only pan?
>>
>>20974448
i did do that, and yah its my only pan
i dont wanna get some non stick one because they suck
>>
>>20974450
Well I don't know how to help you bud, I avoid pans like this because of that problem, I had one of those and they don't retain much heat and it heats unevenly. How do you make your eggs?
>>
>>20974453
i just put the heat on medium, let it heat up, put oil in, spread it around, then put the eggs in
it could be because i used 3 eggs in quite a small pan or maybe it was 'cause i had the heat on too long which caused the bottom to brown too fast, it might be a 1-2 egg pan only and not a 2-3 egg pan
>>
>>20974454
Maybe you should put more oil, I don't think the amount of eggs matter. I usually like my eggs crispy on the bottom so I crank up the heat, it splatters alot but I hate just white soft eggs with no texture. I also use a small pan to make eggs and i've put 4-5 at one time.
>>
>>20974456
really? i thought more oil made it stick more or somethin, i like my eggs crispy on the bottom too but the crisp stuck so i got no crisp :(
maybe i will ask my family, they have a lot of good cooks
>>
>>20974456
my favorite pan is the stainless steel one, if you use it properly it makes everything taste better with a better crust and everything, would recommend buying one, it's gonna last you forever. You can find em in thrift shops or second hand, after a soda bath they are as new.
>>
>>20974457
Noo, it's the opposite, the oil actually makes a layer between the pan and the food so that is actually what prevents it from sticking. I make my eggs with olive oil and usually coat the whole pan with a layer before frying, try it out next time.
>>
>>20974457
>i like my eggs crispy on the bottom too but the crisp stuck so i got no crisp
that means you have't put enough oil and the temperature is not high enough, you have to take in consideration that whenever you put something in the pan that immediately lowers the heat, so you need it to be a little hotter than you think - so when you drop the food it even's out the temp.
>>
>>20974462
well i mean it got crispy its just that the crispy stuff stuck to the pan so in the end it came off and i didnt get a crispy bottom, or a bottom at all really
>>
>>20974462
after you heat the pan and when you put the oil remember to swearl it around so the oil coats every millimeter of the pan and live it for a few seconds so the oil makes a protective layer
>>
>>20974463
Yep, that means not enough oil so the egg literally sticks to the pan.
>>
>>20974465
ah, ill try more oil next time then
>>
>>20974490
:)
>>
>>20974408
why are you cooking eggs without butter?
>>
>>20974664
are you supposed to use butter or something?
>>
>>20974664
butter burns at high temps and you can't get the proper crisp without burning it
>>
>>20974677
yes, it's how you properly flavor an egg.
>>20974685
you're cooking all wrong.
you start eggs low and then high heat at the end for 15 seconds.
>>
>>20974836
He has a problem with the pan sticking fren, this is not an option in this case.
>>
>>20974836
This is exactly how not to cook eggs
>>
Enamel is one of the stickiest pans you can get, worse than stainless.

You could try to do the stainless thing. Put in a layer of oil, bring to smoking, dump it out and wipe it, let cool. Then start cooking with your actual oil.
>>
>>20974863
stainless is good if you know how to use it, it's probably my favorite pan
>>
>>20974450
>nonstick pans suck
Yet here you are complaining about eggs sticking, while not using a nonstick pan.

add some oil to the butter to increase how much heat it can take.
or just use a high heat oil in the first place.
>>
use butter(enough to layer the pan and have some cooling in the center after a couple turns)with or without oil(high smoke point only) on medium/low(if your range has 9 use no more than 5)
use room temperature eggs(if they've been in the fridge run them under a warm tap for a minute)
move them often(if you cant slide them around the pan without touching them you need more butter/oil or less heat)
if those steps do not improve the outcome you either suck or your pan sucks.
>>
>>20974962
Now post the 35% of the eggs that came out of the pan as well as the aftermath left in it.
>>
>>20975827
it's a meme, you dip. those are already stuck. you must not have much experience with eggs.
>>
>>20975814
>>20974836
okay ill try this, thanks for the advice anons!
>>20974954
i just dont want the goypan 3000 but i wont judge you for cooking with one
>>
>>20976367
a small $20 nonstick will work for a few years if you dont overheat it, use soap too often or otherwise abuse the surface. once your done cooking remove any food bits and wipe the excess grease away with a paper towel and put it back on the burner and turn it off. let it sit there until it cools.
>>
>>20976445
if you were told a lead pan was "safe to use" you'd use it, i dont trust any of these teflonslop nonstick pans

just switch to 3-5 ply stainless steel and you won't have this issue. stainless steel will last you a lifetime and then some unless you're retarded. also use more oil, or switch to butter or tallow.
>>
>>20976445
>use soap too often
i.e. basic kitchen hygiene
your pan sucks balls and you can't shill it here

Are you OP? Did you follow the tips and still didn't work? You know more oil, hotter pan?
>>
>>20979309
it did work, i used butter and i didnt even need to use my spatula or anythin, i just kinda messed up cooking them
and yah im op, i kinda forgot a lot of stuff in the moment because i had the stupid itachi cooking eggs webm stuck in my head
>>
>>20974440
Then you will have to shallow fry your eggs. You will burn through a lot of oil this way but you will have to add enough oil so that there is like a ~3cm deep layer of oil. Other posters have said your pan is shit - which is true - but if you insist on keeping that shit you will have to live with it
>>
>>20979317
>too distracted by thoughts of an anime man cooking the eggs to cook eggs himself
Shamefully retarded.
>>
>>20979317
I'm glad you figured it out OP.
>>
>>20974408
Make sure the pan is hot.
You can test the temp by putting in a drop of water. If it start boiling, it isn't hot enough. If it stays in a ball and slides around the pan like it's on ice skates, then you're ready.
Oil/grease the pan and let it come to heat by waiting about 10 seconds. Then crack your egg in.
If your egg looks like it's sticking, just let it keep cooking and it should unstick itself.
If it sticks after you did all that, you probably didn't properly coat the bottom with oil.
>>
>>20979337
i think the pan is alright, i used butter and it worked
>>
>>20978572
How does the dish soap affect the flavour?
>>
>>20979928
its like liquid hatred for your stomach
>>
>>20979459
what do you think about pouring a bit of water in the pan to make steam and putting the lid on in order to cook the eggs thoroughly enough when cookin on higher heats?? will it cook the yolk too much?
