Ozempic is destroying the fast and ultra-processed food industry.

>Users of Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, and other similar weight loss drugs report being disgusted by junk food and instead shifting their tastes to natural and more healthy food.
>GLP-1's, by regulating the release of dopamine, may make the flavor profiles of ultra-processed products less appetizing.
>Lars Fruergaard Jorgensen, the chief executive of Novo Nordisk which makes Ozempic and Wegovy, said that food industry executives had been calling him and "they are scared about it."
>>
>you can now forcibly drug people with poor taste to correct it
holy fuck i love the future

My mom has been on Ozempic for her diabetes for the last 10 years or so, and I can assure you she is not disgusted by ultra-processed junk food and still will not eat a carrot.
>>
>>20983672
Madam, 2018 was not ten years ago. And I don't she was an early adopter because that's the year it was released as a diabetic medication
>>
That's not what it does at all, it's slows your gut motility so you stay full longer
It's also why people who use this stuff for weight loss have horrible breath because their food just festers in their stomach instead of passing into the intestine at a normal speed
>>
>>20983013
The only people who eat this kind of garbage or lardo's and little kids.
>>
>>20983819
That sounds terrifying. Whenever I see someone bragging about how good ozempic is I can't just help but wonder what fucked up effects it's gonna have short and long term. Fucking with the pancreas and the metabolism of the body can have dire consequences.
And apparently it doesn't work for everyone, some people regain weight after quitting ozempic/wegovy.

>2018 was not ten years ago.
in 4 years it will be.
>>
Its just depressing people do all this bizarre shit like rubber banding their stomach stapling their stomach taking weird drugs to kill taste buds kill their appetite kill their digestion

Its so depressing. What's wrong with people? Why are they literal animals? You can't just moderate yourself? I don't understand.
Fucking grim man.

>some people regain weight after quitting ozempic/wegovy.
That's true for all weightloss,

>People start dieting
>Oh sweet, I reached my target weight
>Now that I'm skinny I can eat whatever I want again!
>Proceed to stuff their face like they used to
>What the hell, I've gained weight again?!
>>
>>20983013
we'll see how long this lasts. statistically many fat people end up putting all or some of the weight back on because they don't have the long term discipline
>>
>>20984022
I can't help but wonder, people become obsessed to certain ingredients in food or just need that quick dopamine release because they're too stressed to regulate their appetite.
>>
>>20984017
And if yer mum had wheels, she'd be a bike. Until then, that ain't the case, sweetness.
>>
>>20984071
That doesn't make any sense.
>>
>>20984022
Pity the ones who were fed garbage their entire childhood. Some people never develop a palate or a healthy relationship with food by the time they’re an adult.
>>
>>20984082
Yer mum makes cents cuz she's not worth a dollar.
>>
>>20984022
>You can't just moderate yourself?
No, they can't. In fact, most people can't. It's just that people have different things that they are immoderate about. For example, one person cannot be moderate with food, another with porn, another with video games, another with gambling, another with sex, another with accumulating wealth, and still another with shitposting
>>
>>20983997
Don't even need to speculate on the long term effects, we know from the trials that only 70% of weird lost is fat mass, so 3 out of every 10 lbs you lose is lean mass, muscle and bone tissue
That spells disaster for people as they get older because bone density isn't something you can easily get back
>>
>>20983013
Ozempic is for fags. Just be depressed like a normal person and you'll eat 1 time per day and never get fat
>>
>>20984022
It is sad but I can see how people could get addicted to shit food. I'm a skinny guy but I have a hell of a sweet tooth and I can't help myself if there's candy right in front of me. Luckily I'm a cheap bastard who just won't buy stuff like that, and I was raised on home cooking and do all my own cooking still.
>>
>>20983819
it does both.
people off ozempic report they still don't want the doughnuts like they used to.
