What's the best mall food you've ever had?

Cracco was pretty good in Milan
>>
>>21124067
tf even is this? look like something out of the Fifth element
>>
Do hawker centers count?
>>
>>21124069
it's tagliatelle made with cured egg yolks, iirc.
Cracco is a Michelin starred restaurant, I don't know why he brought it up in a mall food thread.
>>
>>21124100
only hawker tuaher
>>

i like to lick the benches in the forever 21 changing rooms

I really liked the pizza breadsticks at Orange Julius, would always buy my parents to get me one (they rarely did)
>>
>>21124021
New York Fries with lots of salt and malt vinegar, and an Orange Julius.
>>
>>21124021
there's a gyro place at the mall by me and they're pretty good. they really load them up with meat and the fries are decent
>>
Pretty much any mall in my home country its mediocre slop unless im really craving a big pile of shitty american chinese garbo

Bangkok has insanely good mall food, even outside of the big malls you can go to the cheaper little cafeteria style food courts that all the office workers and students go to and get a pretty bangin Pad Krapao usually

Gotta say Sarku Japan is still top tier.
>>
Any place that does huge heaping mounds of teriyaki or bourbon chicken for like $5. Can't find it anywhere else, it's only ever at food courts in a mall somewhere.

yup

>What's the best mall food you've ever had?
Miami's La Fogata.
Nicaraguan churrasco w/chimmichurri, queso frito w pickled cabbage, gallo pinto beans and rice, and more garnishes on the side. Maduros, and save room for the country that invented the tres leches dessert.

Also have fond memories of Lebanese Taverna inside of the Pentagon food court :P Fabulous shawarma and baba ghanoush!
>>
If regular supermarket hot case food counts, then seafood city has some pretty damn good breakfast
>>
For me, it's Sbarro.

Most anything at The Tavern at Phipps Plaza. Too bad they closed down but cultural change made that type of place no longer viable.

That cold cola in those waxy cups and a pepp pizza after hitting up the arcade, kb toys, the coin machines, the boring stores your mom drug you to and getting stuck in the elevator alone for 1 floor was peak bliss. Heaven until niggers ruined it.

man i only ever eat chinese sloppa if i have to eat mall food. it’s always some form of this
>chow mein or whatever is their thin, stringy yellow fried noodles with some veggies
>general tso chicken
>broccoli, snow pea, bean sprout side in some sort of gravy
>>
>>21124021
The mall by me had this pizza place that I can't remember the name of, but it was pretty damn good. Also the Mongolian bbq place was always a staple
>>

HOT DOGS!
>>
>>21124021
The food court at my local mall (RIP) had an amazing Chinese place with great general Tso 's chicken. It's what I was eating when I hit puberty while looking at a poster of Krystal in the EB Games nearby. This of course ruined me forever but damn that was some good chicken.

this chain that is slowly starting to show up in mall food courts around SoCal... last time I ate there there was a long line while the nearby Panda Express had no takers. kek. Even the no wait situation at Panda couldn't sway me out of the line for QW

Gen X old fag here

It's a tie between Hot Dog on a Stick, old school Chik Fil A, and old school McDonalds
>>
Wherever gets me a good pile of chinese chicken and lo mein. Usually end up with more than I can eat in one sitting.
>>21134061
Old school CFA was something else, we loved to collect the tiny books. Never can forget that smell walking into the food court
>>
>>21125913
I thought most of them closed during COVID

There was this place called 187
It was a Jamaican Jerk spot that had a amazing lunch combo for 10-16 dollars depending on what you got.

Jerk Chicken, Coconut Rice and peas, steamed cabbage, hella seasoned.

Probably gonna go there just to get it
>>
>>21134758
Huh.
There was a mall in Philadelphia that had a good Jamaican spot but I can't remember the name. The mall remodeled and while it's still in business, it had absolutely none of the original charm. That place was weird, too. Had two and a half food courts and the one I call a half was just a hallway with only one true restaurant in it, a Chinese joint. Everything else in it was weird food shit that doesn't belong in a mall, like a butcher, a green grocer and a fishmonger. Also an Auntie Anne's.
Was your Jamaican place in Philadelphia?

The Chinese buffet that used to be at my nearest supermarket's food court. I don't know what it was, but despite being left in heated trays all day, every bit of meat was tender and the vegetables were still crisp. It was also cheap as eat at most fast food places, so I'd just mix and match their biggest container with different mains and sides, then just eat the different sections for a meal over the next few days. Sadly, it was shut down when the cinema it was next to renovated the whole entryway and they just vanished. I miss that place.
>>
I ate some steak with fries, fried egg and caramelized onion for $6. The steak was extremely good, that chef sure knows how to properly sear.

Why is mall Chinese always worse than restaurant Chinese, despite all the suppliers being the same?
>>
the generically named asian places with containers of, what felt like lo mein, teriyaki or bourbon chicken
always getting replaced and remodeled but having the same damn food that was worth a trip to the mall just for it
i've never tried velveting meat but it might be worth it
>>
>>21124021
Chick fil a and cozzolis in the 90s. And some random philly cheesesteaks place many years later.
>>
>>21128643
I used to work at a mall Sbarro in KY. The pizza and the baked ziti are good when they're fresh from the oven. Good stuff. Even my dad liked the ziti, which is weird since he eats like a 1940's seaman and despises pizza.
