How much increased productivity does a coffee drinking nation get by drinking coffee over a non coffee drinking country?
Is coffee spice? Does it make you more than human? Or is it just a illusion of productivity or a mere ritualistic enabler of it rather than a direct increase?
>>
>>21712421
it's loaded with antioxidants and reduced your chance of getting parkinsons, but there are probably some downsides too. If you load it up with cream and sugar it gets unhealthy quick
>>
>>21712421
>makes your body piss and shit immediately to expel it
Hmm, I don't know. Maybe this thing my body wants to violently expel is good for me?
>>
cu/ck/s will tell you no because of acrylamide and piss out my ass, but drinking 4 cups of coffee daily is associated with a longer lifespan and reduced risk of all cause mortality
but those plastic lined coffee cups? i would avoid those at all costs, you get a ton of michaelplastics from them
>>
>>21712428
Coffee makes me constipated.
>>
i fucking hate elves so much bros
>>
>>21712421
>Is coffee good for you?
why would it matter?
it tastes good.
that's what matters.
>>
>>21712518
Does good tasting things increase productivity?
>>
>>21712554
productivity is based solely on will.
>>
>>21712554
if you are drinking coffee for this purpose then you are better off consuming caffeine pills

It makes me poop like three times a morning, which I like. I switched to tea about a month ago and the lack of a steady and reliable bowel movement schedule is getting to me. I don't like poopin anytime after lunch.
>>
>>21712713
again if you are drinking coffee for stimulant effects or pooping you are better off with caffeine pills. you don't like coffee.
>>
>>21712717
water intake has a lot to do with stimulating digestive tract movement so caffeine pills would not be an alternative
>>
>>21712421
It isn't.
>>
>>21712717
Like the other anon said, caffeine pills don't have the same effect (for me, even with substantial water intake) plus I do like the taste.

I only switched to tea because, as much as I like coffee, I have converted to the best morning brew imaginable.
>>
>>21712720
are you allergic to water or sonething? youre supposed to swallow pills with a glass of water to aid digestion btw
>>
>>21712459
>i would avoid those at all costs, you get a ton of michaelplastics from them
Umm
>>
>>21712421
I don't drink coffee but I'm also extremely unproductive
>>
>>21712421
>Is coffee good for you?
I don't think you understand this meme. you are supposed to ask, but post titties.
>>
>>21712425
>it's loaded with antioxidants
which are all destroyed during the roasting process.
>>
>>21712421
a moderate amount of coffee a day is good for you. 2-4 cups max. And ACTUAL cups, as in 1 8 ounce US Cup. One starbucks venti is 2.5 cups. Which means 1 or 2 coffee's a day.
>>
>>21712567
your will is based solely on the chemicals in your brain telling you that you have it.

What i find irksome is the parroting of the purported benefits, when everything there is out there for coffee is merely associations from observational studies.

Given coffee's prevalence on millions of people for decades, the lack of definitive, long-term RCTs for outcomes like cancer or mortality seems sus.

Also cocoa has 10 to 30+ times higher antioxidant amount than coffee (and tastes good without you having to be an addict)
>>
>>21712421
no but elves are
>>
>>21712421
>Is coffee good for you?
No.
>>
>>21712717
>you don't like coffee.
A person can learn to like coffee though, and it's better than taking pills needlessly.

Brit here - I assume you're also a Brit if you're drinking Yorkshire Tea. Coffee also makes me shit several times a day which is annoying. Maybe I should switch to tea. If I can get away with shitting just once a day that would be much better so I wouldn't have to keep wiping my arse and washing my hands all the time.

I haven't tried Yorkshire Gold tea, but regular Yorkshire Tea is good, probably the best tea I've had since it's stronger than other namby pamby teas.

Light and Medium Roasts are not baked at high enough or long enough temperatures to break down acrylamides. After that there's questions of fertilizers (cheap chinese stuff with heavy metals), pesticide use and handling (mold).

Caffeine abuse strips Niacin, hence the shakes (same for too much sugar, and alcohol). Deficit in it will induce ADD symptoms, irritability, ect.

Yes, we'd be still be living in a pre-internet world if it wasn't for coffee.

I can like coffee and having good dumps at the same time, asshole.
>>
>>21713738
if someone has not yet learned to like coffee, do they like coffee? no. does that prohibit them from drinking coffee? no. stop mincing words and just admit you dont like it retard.
>>
>>21713959
never said you can't. if having good dumps is your reason for drinking coffee then youre dumb ok?
>>
>>21713435
they aren't though. Coffee is by far the biggest source of antioxidants in Americans diets

>Conclusion: Our findings suggest that moderate coffee consumption leads to a decrease in all-cause and cardiovascular-related mortality, hypertension, cholesterol, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. However, no conclusive relationship between coffee and coronary heart disease risk has been consistently identified.

absolutely, have yet to see any safe conclusions about coffee benefits besides antioxidants

I myself enjoy coffee. You are the one saying that because someone doesn't yet enjoy coffee but gets something good out of it, they shouldn't try to learn to enjoy it and should instead just take pills. Don't mince how stupid that advice is, fucknugget.
>>
I roast my own coffee and only drink decaf. I still find that having a coffee helps improve productivity, since I'm just in a better mood and more willing to get shit done after I finish a good cup.
>>
>>21712421
I keep trying to drink coffee blacked, but it's just so bitter.
do I increase the chance of me dying if I add about 10-15% oat milk to it? because that's how I drink it currently
