The only people who cling to "post X destroying a planet" are DBZfags. It's the only series where people destroy planets. Smarter more respectful series show a character who is as strong as or stronger than a planet to establish how powerful they are. DBZ just has a character shoot a beam at a nondescript planet. Well written stories have no reason for hero or a villain to destroy a bunch of rocks.
