Sam Keith (creator of The Maxx) is David Feiss's cousin and helped him write that pilot.Feiss also did The Crappon part in The Maxx.
This was the only "animal duo" short of the bunch that was picked up. Was it truly the best of them all?

I started watching through it a while back and made it about 5 or so episodes in when I realized they were all just the pilot with different coats of paint. Chicken gets ensnared by the Red Guy, Cow turns into Supercow and saves him. Not sure how well later seasons deviated from the formula since I didn't get that far. Honestly got kind of bored.

This was initially a childrens book, but Feiss heard of the pilot showcase and retooled it into the final product. Cow and Chicken were best friends instead of siblings.
