Not to hate on Ragatha, but I would have abstracted her halfway through the show for more stakes and to put Pomni in a tighter spot. Losing both Ragatha and Jax would have been heartbreaking.

Quite honestly I don't understand why they made Jax abstract. Not only were previous characters insisting on the fact that Jax is one of them and won't let them alone, but the entire plot of episode 9 spends way too much time on Jax and Pomni. It doesn't seem like much was accomplished either, seemed like just a way to show the audience Jax's past, but that's pretty much it. I don't know, I just think the writers cornered themselves into a plotline that consumed way too much screen time on at most two characters

The characters are in so LITTLE peril that they have time to mope in various locations. Hell, before Caine even gets back, the circus looks like nothing happened. Remember all the discussion of the Abstractions getting loose with the basement being opened by the crumbling circus? Well no! They just all stayed put actually!
