A lot of people have asked why Jax wasn't allowed to be redeemed but Caine was despite both suffering a lot and being sorry, but I think Caine was forgiven because all his evil actions could be passed off as being the blue A.I's fault, not his, as he only wanted to make the humans happy while the blue A.I was making him glitch out and be aggressive.
