Apocalypse was at one point going to be a long lost Summers sibling.
>>
This picture is literally what Krakoa was for him though.

I totally believe you.

Just how many Summers brothers/siblings are there

the night is young

Reminder that the sentinels were only possible because of muggas paying for them to be built. Mugga on mugga violence, direct or indirect, has always been a bigger threat than anything humanity or any other species has posed to muggas.

Honourable mention goes to honourary mugga Mr. Sinister, who masterminded the Morlock Massacre.

Trask wasn’t a mugga, MUGGA. And the US government struck first, Magneto was completely, unironically right to strike back.
>>
>>155725162
>Adam X
Didn’t knew he was a Summers, I have only ever seen him in the issues preluding Age of Apocalypse. He was one of the most edgiest looking characters I’ve ever seen.
>>
>>155725225
Trask didn't bankroll them on his own dime, you dumb mugga. It was all Hellfire Society's ill-gotten mugga-bux that bankrolled it. Mugganeato funded his Brotherhood of Evil Muggas with Nazi gold, bank-rolling his chimp outs on human suffering.

Adam X is an eXtreem mugga, yo.

Gambit was supposed to be at one point
>>
>>155725666
Pretty sure you’re thinking of the Stephen Lang Sentinels, which were funded by a flatscan-led Hellfire Club. Shaw had to kill that guy to take over, it was in X-Men Classic. Magneto was never chimping out, he was a CIA asset betrayed by America. He was told to his face America would start exploiting mutants, he was completely justified to retaliate. And they killed his girlfriend.
>>
>>155725763
>Magneto was never chimping out

Anon, please.

>He was told to his face America would start exploiting mutants

And they never did. The Mugga Registration Act wasn't conscription, and when the SHRA got pushed through the muggas sat their asses down like they always do in Chuckie X's School For Mugga Kids Who Can't Powers Good.

But Soviet Canuckistan and Russia? They exploited the fuck out of muggas, and they only caught strays from the times Mugganeato did shit like an Earth-wide EMP or blockading the entire planet with asteroids.
>>
Why is Cyclops the face of this? Scott left that dumb shit up to Xavier, he just wanted to grill.
>>
>>155725822
Wrong. Team X was a CIA funded mutant exploitation team. It only doesn’t come up more because they’re boring as shit. It actually took place before Magneto’s CIA contact said it would, America is guilty as fuck.
>>
>>155725978
I'm not convinced Team X wasn't some goofy-ass Weapon X shit.
>>
>>155726075
It was referenced during Krakoa, it all still happened.
>>
>>155724198
Kamala having the same powerset as Apocalypse(minus Celestial Armor) is something the writers should have leaned into.

Evan needs to make a come back.
>>
>>155726172
I'm not saying it didn't happen - I'm saying I don't think it was really an Uncle Sam America op and all the CIA shit was just a veneer to hide the true mastermind directing it.
>>
>>155726847
I don’t blame you for not reading it, but Daniel Way Wolverine revealed that the mastermind behind it was intimately involved with the government. He wrote that Murrica willingly exploited Wolverine because he was available, while later, Krakoa-era comics had him and Sabretooth as Romulus’ moles within what’s otherwise entirely a CIA-managed operation.

>Apocalypse was at one point going to be a long lost Summers sibling.
I remember this, it never made it past the pitch stage. It was an idea from the guy who was writing Cable in the early 2000s, Robert Weinberg IIRC. He pitched it as a resolution to the long-dangling "third Summers brother" plot that the baby somehow got sent back in time and ended up becoming Apocalypse, but the story was rejected, possibly because this was right around the time Quesada and Jemas took over Marvel.

>>155725225
>Magneto was completely, unironically right to strike back.
>most of the world doesn't know mutants exist
>/x/-tier conspiracy stuff at best
>Magneto comes out of nowhere declaring war on humanity and attacking a military base
>MAGNETO IS STRIKING BACK AND HE'S RIGHT
Why are you like this? Virtually every problem mutants have endured is that man's fault for this being man's big public first contact with mutant.

>>155725252
I didn't say it made sense but it is canon. X-men Legends 1 from 2021.
>>
>>155725252
Fabian Nicieza started the whole mystery third brother plot in 1993, and had introduced Adam-X the same year as the intended answer, but editorial thought Adam-X sucked and wouldn't let him resolve the story the way he wanted to. Instead we got Vulcan as a superior resolution to the mystery in the 2000s, but in the more recent X-Men Legends book Nicieza got to canonze Adam-X as having been created using DNA from Cyclops and Havok's mother.

>>155725714
Gambit was never "supposed to be" the answer to the mystery, that was just a popular fan theory that Wizard really got behind, and at least one notable /co/ schizo never got over it not being canon.

Claremont's X-Men: The End mini made the odd choice to reference that fan-theory and in that continuity Gambit was grown in a lab by Mr Sinister using DNA from himself and Cyclops, but that nonsense isn't canon to anything else.
>>
>>155726923
I can't remember if it was Way or Loeb who wrote it, but we ended up with the revelation that Wolverine was a willing participant in Weapon X and it was all his idea in the first place, nobody was exploiting him.
>>
>>155729411
It wasn’t man’s first contact with mutant. The CIA had mutants in Cuba decades prior. Magneto himself is a former CIA asset who was betrayed shortly before his Cape Citadel attack. The government was so aware of mutants that they had technology made to counteract Magneto’s powers. You can call this a shitty retcon that softens Magento, but it’s still canon. America struck first.
>>
>>155729465
I believe it was Loeb, but Loeb shits on his own prior Romulus story in that sequel story, and the two are completely incongruous. In the former, Romulus is clearly in charge, “The Professor” is his subordinate and purges Logan’s memories at his command. In Loeb’s sequel where Logan apparently consented, Logan, Victor, Romulus, and Remus are shown invading the Weapon X facility, which is completely retarded. But also, Daniel Way placed Wolverine’s Team X days BEFORE the adamantium bonding, so America still used a bunch of brainwashed mutants.
>>
>>155729722
>muh retcons
>muh Magneto-apologist retcons
>please believe muh retarded retcons
Utterly irrelevant when it's still considered immutable hard canon that Magneto's attack is the point where the world learns mutants are real. It's man's first public contact with mutant, the point where the world learns they exist, regardless of what governments and intelligence agencies may already know.

Even if you want to accept Claremont's nonsense about how glowies tried to kill Magneto, your argument that declaring war on the entire human race is a proportionate and justifiable response to a spy agency trying to kill you and claiming "b-b-but they struck first" is just making you look like a deranged psychopath.

Nothing makes me wish the 1975 X-Men relaunch had been cancelled within a year more than Magneto apologises do.
>>
>>155729783
Are you thinking of one of the cartoons?
>>
>>155729797
Are you doing that thing where people pretend not to understand the conversation as an argument tactic? Marvel were referencing X-Men #1 as the moment where the world learned mutants existed as recently as in the Krakoa books.
>>
>>155729837
No, I understand, it just seems strange since the X-Men have so much retroactive history
>>
>>155725763
Shaw was already Black Bishop of the Hellfire Club when he killed Buckman and the Council of the Chosen, then he, and Frost though she bowed out after Inferno, continued to make make, or sell the production capacity for, Sentinels through as late as Krakoa.

>>155729858
More than anything that's the problem with the franchise. It's a property whose creatives and editors will freely and eagerly retcon literally everything out the X-Men to suit their whims to the point of nonsensicality while at the same time requiring previous canon to remain intact for their stories to work. At this point Magneto was simultaneously a CIA operative, an Israeli operative, wandering around Eastern Europe, hunting Nazis in South America, and being a supervillain in the aftermath of WW2, but since he was still born in 1928 so thanks to the sliding timeline all this shit had to happen sometime in the late 90s when he was in his 70s to make the character relationship webs work. And he's not even the worst example of this.

>>155725162
Gambit was rumoured to be one of them too.

weirdly, Marvel Rivals also recently made a reference to it. the game has a team-up system, and Cyclops has a team-up with Gambit titled "Kinetic Kin". i don't think it's anything more than a cool name and a small reference to this theory, but it is interesting

Gabriel was a horrible mistake, worse than adam-x
