For when $5 of scrap boards and screws to improvise a step stool so you don't have to reach so far overhead in the first place is just too efficient.

My only problem with these systems is that the extra weight lifted has to be borne by something, and in this case that something happens to be your back. You’re just lifting the weight with a different part of your body.

Maybe it’s better to hold up a weight for prolonged periods of time with your back instead of your arms. I’m not a doctor so I can’t say for sure. I’m just saying that this extra strength is not totally free.

I saw another article about some leg thing that’s supposed to make you run faster or walk longer. Again, it feels like it’s just putting extra strain on your pelvis because the harder the motors push, the more force you have to apply with your body to push back.
