Anybody know how to pop these sashes out? Or if you even can?
For most of those tilt-in style double hung windows I've dealt with, if you angle the sash (side to side like in this pic) it will get narrow enough for the guide pins do disengage with the tracks.
Tried that, it didn't work. I have other windows that will do that, but they don't have that spiral rod in the tracks, either, so I figured these were different. They're Jeld Wen double hung pocket(?).
You know the following information about the situation you find yourself in:- You need to remove a sash from a double hung window.- The window is made by Jeld Wen.- It uses a spiral balance. What do you think your logical course of action is here?I will give you a hint: It doesn't involve this website.
Didn't see a video with a spiral balance. Also didn't even know what that was called. This was the first place I looked.https://www.jeld-wen.com/en-us/how-to-videos
>>2903491>Also didn't even know what that was calledI didn't know what it was called either. Then I simply used the key words that YOU posted... jeld wen, sash, spiral... and found a video of it being removed in maybe 20 seconds of searching. You have both the information and tools you need to find the answer you're looking for yet you somehow have still failed to do so.Hint: the video showing the removal of the sash on your window is on the page you linked to.
I'll go ahead and self abort. Thanks
