I've recently purchased land. Although for the most part I'm going to take a more measured approach most of the land. Ive done a little impulse buying and I'm going to contain it in a fenced off area thats I'm going to call my instant gratification zone. Any ideas on arrangements?
i'm only in my 3rd year so i don't have loads of advice, but here's the advice i do have:those pears are going to be a magnet for blight, and you might even be better off not growing them at allBUT if you do, I would keep the pears and apples far away from each other, because many of the blights that affect pear can be transmitted to apple varieties (you would have to look up your apple and pear varieties to be sure) and many apple varieties are only partially resistant. I had fireblight on my pears year 2 and had to chop them all down but because they were far from my apples and they bloom at different times none of it was transmitted to my vulnerable apple treesyou probably already know that kiwis take 5-7 years to produce fruitno other critiques, i love my acre garden and i hope you have fun too
