None score and four years ago Old Wizard brought forth on this board, a new thread, conceived in namefaggotry and dedicated to the proposition that all men like cute girls.I finally remembered our anniversary guys! It only took me three tries! Theme for the thread shall nonetheless be "High Effort Backgrounds" as was discussed>>2677231here. The artsier the better, though I will leave determining what constitutes high effort as an exercise to the poster. Also, somebody of a newer generation check me on this. Is namefagging still something people get berated for on here? I can't remember the last time I've seen somebody be called a namefag in earnest. Been curious though given... y'know, me name.

>>2683046I've decided to leave the archived.moe links for now, despite the image links being dead now that nyafuu is defunct. Reason being that neither of the other archives I know of have convinced me much of their quality to bother actually going through and changing the links.archive.alice.al appears to not have the thumbnails stored for the older threads in our saga, and wakarimasen is an advertising hellhole, like I elaborated on last thread. So for now, the archived.moe links stay.
>>2683053On the note of doing a thread with colour theme-ing, as discussed here>>2677233I was wondering about doing something with hair colours next thread, perhaps. I know me a wizard who likes gradient hair and I'm also somewhat partial towards pic related (please excuse the early theme break) where the inside of the hair is a different colour than the outside.Gave me ideas of doing exotic hair colours, though that might feel a little thin in terms of color coding in the big picture sense.
>>2683061Just a thought. "Put your thoughts in the comments below" and all that.
>>2683063
>>2683064
>>2683065On an unrelated note, I'm also going to start making an effort to rein in the bust sizes on the ladies I post. I've noticed that on average over the years the size of breasts I post has consisently been a few cups larger than what my actual preference is. Which isn't really an issue but still just kinda strange.
>>2683067
>>2683068Please excuse the lack of focus or structure in the images I post, I threw this together kind of hastily. Normally I try to not make the contrast between images too jarring, at least for the first dump of the thread.
Here's to the new Bread!
god damn that's a fine op image
>>2683041>bikini and a scarfThis is my fetish
>>2683067Big, juicy tits are the norm. There's just way more art of large breasts than small ones. Even cannon flatties often get upgrades in non-official art.
>>2683504canon*
>>2683504Very true. I myself have also traditionally been careful not to post anything too flat lest I risk incurring the wroth of a Jannie. However seeing some of the other things people have contributed in previous threads without issue, leads me to believe I may have been overly cautious.
Usually a B/C-cup guy, but I don't mind bigger ones (up to about the size of the character's head) as long as they're aesthetically pleasing and not ridiculous + match the girl's overall physique.
>>2683593Same for smaller ones, can be quite nice, if they're aesthetically pleasing.

>>2691640>>2691643Thanks for taking the time to weigh in! That's a fair enough distinction to make, yeah. Oh hey, it's the thread theme I suggested in the last one! Neat! These threads have been going on for four years? That's a long time, what keeps you going? Also, on the namefag question, nobody really cares if you use a name as long as you're not obviously using it just for attention. I berated a namefag pretty recently because he kept shitting up threads and arguing with people, trying to prove that he was "better" and an older user than everybody else. Those are the kinds of people that get berated for namefagging, not a guy like you. You seem cool.
>>2691816Ohai, thanks for stopping by again! Gotcha, gotcha. Seems like the consensus is that it's not the name itself but the behavior generally associated with using a name that constitutes namefaggotry. Thanks! As to what keeps me going: I don't know how deep you are in Wizard Thread lore but originally these threads were run by another guy, right. He said he had some stuff coming up and I started the next thread for him and then not long after he disappeared for good.Since then it's just kind of become "that thing I do" and the longer it keeps going, the more of a shame it would be to stop now. I will say that for a while I did consider just letting it die, maybe 2 years ago or so, but seeing other people post here and keep it going is a big morale boost.
>>2691835I will say the largest bottleneck for me running these threads has become not having the same amount of time to look for images as I used to.Which is part of the reason why I'm always talking about how grateful I am to anybody who posts. With me trying to kind of "lead by example" and post things are A. quality content and that I ideally haven't posted before, getting 300 images together to post can take quite a bit of time out of my day.Unfortunately (for the purposes of this thread anyway) I'm not as NEET as I used to be.
>>2691837
hey big hat, interested what the wizard thread is about? like why is it named that and what connects this one to the previous or next? thanks
>>2691862What is it about indeed. Well, the guy that made the first "Wizard Thread" introduced himself as an old Wizard who has come back after being gone for years. He also went by Old Wizard as his name which is why the threads are named this way.Technically, the purpose of us being here is just to hold the fort until Old Wizard comes back to take over the posting again. At least that's the whole reason why I originally took over when he became indisposed. Nowadays the thread has kind of become a purpose onto itself. I make new threads when one is full simply because that's what I've been doing for years now. I try to maintain continuity by linking back to the last thread at the start and linking forward to the next thread at the end. I suppose the fact that we try to do a different theme every thread is also a hallmark of the Wizard Thread formula. Old Wizard started that when he did his first Summer Edition thread. He's also the one who first started calling them Breads. Really though it's mainly the lore that connects these threads. They're Wizard Threads by virtue of being called such and so far there's an unbroken (I think) line back to the first one.
>>2691883I appreciate the questions in any case, thank you.I do wonder how many of the people who were there to see Old Wizard post and chat with him - are still here. I also wonder about armpits-anon who was here for like two threads commenting on pictures with armpits and now he lives rent-free in my head.

>>2691712>What's everybody's bar for "High Effort Backgrounds"?Going through old and new files I've come to the conclusion, that it doesn't have to be something dramatic, but more something where some noticable effort has been put in, especially if it makes the pic feel like a "coherent thing" instead of just being a backdrop. Can't say I can exactly put my finger on it.

>>2700358>And just like that's it's time to think about the next bread's theme.I've been thinking about something for a while, but I'm not sure how well it would translate to an actual thread. So, I don't know how well this is understood by most dudes, but everyone has a skin color and a skin tone. Depending on your color and tone, certain colors will look good on you. Someone with a pale complexion and cool undertones (blueish/porcelain skin like >>2683064), for example, look best in emerald, deep purple, lavender, pink, icey and dark blues, very light ruby, etc. Someone with light skin but a warm tone (yellow/redish like >>2683065) would look good in gold, brown, green, yellow, peach, red, etc. This of course gets more complicated when you add hair and eye colors, but generally this is how girls pick out their clothing style and color choices. Maybe we can do a thread off of that if it can be condensed into something more easily digested. I seem to recall someone mentioning in the last thread (or a few threads back?) wanting to do a thread theme centered around prominent colors, this might be similar but allow for more variety at the same time.
>>2700408Is it too late to admit I'm red-green colourblind?Nah just pulling your leg, I really like where you are going with that. That could potentially be our most inspired theme yet if we decide it's feasible.Other thoughts? Or ideas on how to make a theme out of it?
>>2700412Those last two questions are for everyone, just to be clear. Would love to hear everybody's thoughts.
>>2700395dang, that's a lot of rabbits.and a lot of pee
>>2700412Well, I did just think of something else, skin tones are often divided into "seasons" as well. For example, cool tones can be either "summer" or "winter" depending on their hair and eye color. "Summers" are those with hair and eyes that are a more gentle or muted contrast to their skin (think pale skin, platinum blonde, light green eyes). "Winters" are pale skinned people with dark brown or black hair and more vibrant eyes. Summers tend to look good on the more pastel end of the color spectrum, while winters look better in stronger colors; think a satiny lavender versus dark royal purple. If you wanted to do a "winter girls" thread, for example, you might want to specify them as light skinned girls with dark hair and clothes to match. Maybe giving a list of colors? I'm a winter myself so I'm more familiar with clothes/jewelry that look good on winter girls. Warm-toned seasons are spring and autumn, if you wanted to try and google what look good with those.Ah, but another thing to think about is that people might get confused and think it's a literal seasonal thread... I'm not sure what you could really call it.
>>2700420Sure, as long as it can be turned into a viable, comprehensible theme, I'd be in.
>>2700420I don't think I've fully gotten the point yet, so I'm not exaclty sure how to make it a little more snappy as a theme.
>>2691816Namefags aint what they used to be.>>2691835I am extremely late, but I shall reiterate the post I made way back when, from memory:Sometime last Thursday, and Old Wizard baked an Old Wizard Bread of Exquisite Quality. Then, as quickly as He came, Old Wizard disappeared, And Big Hat Steve continues the baking. And thus, we wayward Anon wait patiently to see Old Wizard return and see that His Bread is still Baked, and that it is good, Amen.
My working theory is BHS is Old Wizard, Hallowed be His Name, posting under a tripcode to avoid any embarassment
>>2701784The absolute simplest I think the original pitch can be broken down to would be "Images where the girl's complexion Just Worksâ„¢ with her outift" and leave the rest to the individual poster's disgression. On the note of >>2700420though. >>2704709Practice, practice, practice, also hundreds if not thousands of hours of practice, a dash of talent and dedication, but for the most part practice.I'm not an artist - I've tried, but not being good right away usually kills my drive to pursue most hobbies except for video games, even though I know that it requires - as mentioned before - a shit ton of practice.
>>2704709>>2704759I was going to reply something very similar but of course I got myself sidetracked..Yeah, conventional wisdom as far as I am told is you start and then you don't stop until eventually you're there. No shortcuts, no easy step-by-step guides to get there in X weeks, just time, investment and sticktoitiveness.I do know somebody who does art, not the lewd digital variety unfortunately, but that's how it goes for them. Ask them what they're up to any given day and they'll tell me what they've been drawing for practice that day. Seems daunting but you cultivate it like any other hobby. It's not a matter of "Aw man I better get my hour of mandatory practice in today" but more "Hell yeah, I got an hour free, time to doodle something" The same way I get excited about having an extra hour to look at anime titties online. Not being able to switch my mindset away from doing it out of necessity and toward doing it for fun, is the main reason why I played an instrument in school but now it gathers dust.
This thread turned out having so many great images to save that I wouldn't mind doing it again, or something similar, as the next thread theme. Definitely contributing next time.
>>2704916Hey man, glad to hear it. I was hoping this bread would be good. Been very happy with it myself so far, though I haven't posted as much as I'd like myself. But nevertheless contributions are of course, always welcome.
>>2705633>>2701901Been giving that thread theme idea some more thought and calling on the original anon that pitched it to do feel free to weigh in on this, would hate to butcher your theme suggestion to the point that you don't recognize it anymore. But what if we broke it down to "Synergies"?We've had images across the thread where the girl's hairs and eyes, even clothes matched in colour like >>2704422>>2700312>>2700277>>2700269And even without matching>>2700322can't deny that the pastel pink synergizes with white clothes and paler skin which is closer to the original pitch.
>>2705636So I've been feeling that perhaps pictures with synergies in the girl's look might be generalized enough that everybody knows what to post for it while still allowing for the type of thing the original anon was describing.Synergies could be literally the same colour across multiple parts of her outfit, it could be colours that form a palette or just colour combinations that work well together, etc. etc.
>>2705637Thoughts welcome all around.
>>2705638
>>2705639
>>2705636>>2705637I can dig it.If "palette synergies" may include the girl / her clothes and maybe parts of the bg or environment, it would certainly make things a little easier later on, but I guess we can cross that bridge when we come to it later on.
>>2705636Original anon here, yeah "color synergies" is a really good way to describe it! I could give a list of suggestions or we could just let anons decide what they think works together, if that's a future thread theme.
