Shilling this masterpiece here again. The more I wear it, the more shades and depths it reveals. From the opening to the drydown, completely stunning frag. Travesty that it's discontinued in the U.S.

I got a carded sample need to try it more. So far I'm thinking about getting a bottle lasts a while and smells pretty good to me. Not that synthetic to me but not natural either

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna pick up a bottle. 3 sprays for me gets huge projection and longevity, so a 75ml should last for a good few years. Found it online at a British department store for $98 + $30 shipping to the U.S.

Anything similar to cool water? I like it, but my cousin uses it and so i don’t really want to use it. I’ve sampled shit from versace and gucci but they smell too sweet if that makes any sense.

Is Ferragamo Uomo a good thot attracting sweet scent? Or should I stick with my decant of Pure Tonka, Joop or even Valentino Uomo

Layered BDC and CdG Incense 3: Kyoto today and it ended up as something incredible.

High quality natural wood and incense with smooth fruity and ambroxan notes. Not sure which I've managed to enhance more, BDC making it more natural or Kyoto by fleshing it out and giving it more longevity. Either way someone needs to release something like this.
>>
>>13747915

I don't think it's actually all that versatile. Something about it is a bit... serious? So I wouldn't wear it on dates and the like. Maybe to the office or on summer nights.

All right. I've given this a couple of wearings, here are my thoughts on the sample I have:
It hits you with a huge rose bomb at the start, but the plum notes peek through and compliment it throughout. As it dries down, you get a creamy, sweet dry down due to the tonka and brown sugar notes. To me, it almost smells like chocolate. Performance is good, and lasts a fair amount of time.

I'm kind of on the fence as to whether or not I'd recommend this, but I'd shy away from it and recommend amouge lyric man instead, or maybe even guerlain habit rogue edp. This reminds me a lot of the amouge, but a sweet take on it instead. I think the amouge is just a more interesting take on rose for the same price. Which is a shame, because this is yet another opinion I'm letting the price change sway my opinion on.

But overall, I think this is one of his best scents yet despite that. I really like the creaminess the tonka beans lend to this. If you like AHSEE, then I think you'll like this too.

Strange that I got the opposite. Amara on my skin smelt like an unpleasant mix of sour fruit juice, salt and a 90s bathroom air freshener. Yet with Atlantiqve I found it slightly fruity, but soft, deep and satisfying with a surprisingly good ambergris note, despite being a relatively cheap synthetic one. It was a surprise hit I just brought as a cheap throwaway just to widen my summer rotation and not wear the same things day after day but really grew to like it.

it might be the dummiest request of them all, but I want to find a scent which would fit a well-spoken, well-educated boi from like a family with a large library - so confident, but not arrogant, plus welcoming and classy.

Wtf can I do if I have a bad fragrance allergy? I've tried multiple colognes and I've had reactions ranging from breaking out in hives to headaches and sneezing/runny nose.
I even tried a couple "organic" colognes and they still don't work well with me. Funny enough, I have no problems with "Wolfthorn" old spice body spray.
Even then, I spray it mostly on my clothes... Luckily I'm not a smelly person, but I don't want to keep using this faggot elementary school gym locker spray.

i don't really know of any similar frags. i've heard michael jordan flight is similar but i've never smelled it. it might not have much better performance.

you might like green irish tweed by creed. it's a different frag altogether you may like it.

ysl l'homme parfum intense (also known as l'homme l'intense) is really nice. it doesn't really smell like l'homme, more like d&g the one if you've ever tried it. however it does retain the same super pleasant and opposite-of-harsh character

People say tuscan leather smells like cocaine. La yuqawam is a nearly identical or even better for a lot cheaper.
>>
>>13747819
from what I could gather, they have some decent clones and some shitty ones, but they pay for heavy shilling on youtube and fragrance forums. Sometimes they're not even that much cheaper than the original, too. Seems like they were the same company as Dua fragrances and split up for some reason.

It all seems a bit sketchy to me, honestly. Most people say their fragrances do not have a master perfumer, all they do is buy cheap fragrance oil (clones, at that) from middle east and dillute it.
>>
>>13752136
Almost used up my bottle of l'homme. really easy to wear and smells like 10/10 soap, especially when sprayed on clothes, but the frag goes relatively unnoticed after the first hour

>anything similar
I think YSL Y is a bit similar, but its definitely not as 'soft' as l'homme. Performance is slightly better for me.

Serious question is there a fragrant out there that will make me smell like a farmers market? I am primarily thinking dill and fresh root vegetables. I love that smell so much...
>>
>>13752553
Two fragrances come to mind: Un Jardin Sur Le Nil by Hermes and Memo Paris' Italian Leather. Don't smell exactly like a farmer's market but have vegetal notes that make them stand out. Also Yatagan by Caron has a celeryish smell

I believe there is a dill note in Yatagan, but not in the others, both of which feature a note of tomato leaf. Evidently Alien Man by Thierry Mugler has a dill note; I'd search Fragrantica to see if there are any others that appeal to you.
>>
>>13751628
Does this really smell like almonds or no?
>>
>>13752236
The coffee is basically nonexistent, and the longevity and projection is literally the worst out if any fragrance I've ever worn. It's very intimate. I would mind if it wasn't as expensive. Hard pass.

Get a hold of Montale Intense Cafe for some real coffee notes. Also roses. It's performance is stellar. That's a coffee date night frag, anon.

Sup guys, Amsterdamfag here. If you’ve been following my exploits over the years, you know I usually bring my trusty Creed MI. The ladies really seem to like that one. For my upcoming trip, though, I’m thinking of bringing Royal Oud instead.

What do you think? MI is safe and mass appealing, do you think Royal Oud is safe enough? I worry my girls may not like it. Royal Oud is classy and fresh, but I’m not sure how sexy it is.
>>
>>13754266
The opening could be seen as a little old fashioned and old man-ish but the dry down is frankly ridiculous.
>>
>>13754291
Yeah, the opening is definitely a bit old mannish, but I generally spray it on before I leave, and it’s a 10 minute walk or so to the RLD, so the opening’s probably gone by then. The opening in Royal Oud seems to be quite fleeting. I just worry that the woody notes may be offputting. Woody notes seem to be polarizing in women.

They are similar but not 100% the same, more like 89% the same. Individuel has some more aromatic and fruity nuances, whereas OS turns into straight wood and cinnamon. Individuel came out first btw so the OS would be a dead ringer for the Montblanc.

It has really bad performance. Even the newer parfum is below average. At best you smell like use used too much shower gel for 3 hours. There will be dumb niggers who blame my skin or my nose but seriously BdC is shit in performance. The Parfum might give you an hour longer but doesn't project any better than the EDP. I blind bought the Parfum then got a tester of the EDP to compare the two. They are both a complete waste of money.
