Thoughts on linen "comfort" pants?
Where can I get some good drawstring linen pants with a tapered fit?
I got some from shein but obviously the quality is subpar, I'd like something that isn't complete trash. Is uniqlo linen decent?
>>
>>18127231
they look way too larpy. it's like who are trying to convince that you're rich?
>>
>>18127236
It's just linen pants.
>>
>>18127261
all clothes are "just" [material] [article]. what's your point?
>>
>>18127236
What is it with americans calling anything that doesn't look like trash "larpy"
>>
>>18127263
You're being disingenuous. At what point is wearing high-rise linen drawstring pants supposed to "convince" anyone of anything? It's not a rolex, just a more comfortable and summer-appropriate alternative to wool trousers or even chinos.
>>
>>18127264
they have been psyoped to suffer and lower their standards
>>
Should these be a straight fit, relaxed fit or tapered fit?
I find that anything that isn't at least tapered looks shapeless but maybe it's because I'm used to slim fit
>>
>>18127267
you're not getting a heat stroke in a pair of jeans. stop dressing like a clown.
>>
>>18127298

Yeah fuck off, your shit takes are tiresome.
>>
>>18127267
Americans her extremely angry when you don't wear their approved mutt uniform: jeans ,t-shirt ,hoodie and plastic sneakers .
Anything else they consider a personal offense and tryhard, larpy ,etc
Better to just ignore their screeching
>>
>>18127308
Agreed, I'd like to get back on track
I'm looking for brands that are reasonably good quality for a relatively low price, not necessarily 100% linen (cotton blends are fine) but a nice cut is the most important thing.
Even though the shein ones I got are garbage quality I'm starting to like this kind of pants more and more, it's nice that you can style them with anything. Put on sneakers and they just look like nicer sweatpants, put on loafers and they look like more casual trousers, very versatile
>>
>>18127231
I've been looking for some linen clothing lately too, especially with summer on the horizon. I bought a pair from gap and they're *alright* but I'm looking for something of higher quality too. Personally I hate the drawstring on some linen pants, though.
>>
>>18127332
>I hate the drawstring
I guess it gives it a more casual look, but stretchy waist is nice

not good, too hard to hide poop stains.
black or brown kirkland or rustler jeans hide the stains very well and you can go out in public just fine.

>>18127310
if you're going to wear something outside of social norms it should at least be nice. you're going to look like king dorkus iii in linen pants off shein. the taper ratio in the pants in op pic is atrocious.

get lighter weight and wider legged jeans
2x1 twill weaves also breathe better than the standard 3x1 that 99% of jeans are woven with.
wider fits create a billows effect as you move that circulates air and cools you and helps sweat evap.
i have a pair of 2x1 twill jeans in 6.5oz shirting denim and they are great. they don't show stains or wrinkle but they breathe as well as linen. they're more casual, i can go on a hike in them or get them dirty, and they look like i'm wearing a normal pair of jeans to anyone who wouldn't be the wiser.
the ones i have are probably a little thin for most people and no longer for sale but here's an example of some good summer jeans:
https://misterfreedom.com/products/raiders-fatigues-2x1-army-denim
i like linen pants but they're not the vibe 90% of the time
picrel feels the same to wear if its just about comfort

i like them but i don't get how you guys can possibly find them suitable for daily wear. i would destroy them if i tried wearing them every day in the summer.

fair they just really tend to be white & light colors.
all i'm saying is get creative, there's other hot weather options if you don't like shorts. if the pants are decently loose it doesn't matter as much if the fabric is thick too.

theyre just not a great summer choice, its okay, you can wear pants other than jeans sometimes

What about in the winter?
I live in a med country so I can probably get away with wearing linen until november, but I was thinking of replacing my jeans with high rise wool pants for the winter
>>
>>18127562

>average pf flyers enjoyer
>>
>>18127854
wool trousers are a straight up upgrade to jeans in the winter, in terms of comfort, if you don't do anything that utilizes the ruggedness/don't give a fuck what i get on it factor of jeans. jeans aren't very warm or efficient for insulating. i wear wool long johns under mine in the winter even the heavy weight ones.

i only see pajeet immigrants wearing them. specifically the faggy cut carrot leg type in op pic. it screams bollywood straight outta mumbai. its something only a retarded 85iq third world brownskin brain would think is a good idea. tight fitting pants? while trying to stay cool? lol? whats the point? retard poojeet brain can't into thermodynamics.
a high rise loose fitting pair of linen trousers is fine for a white man to wear. that's a garment that makes sense to wear and serves a purpose. tight fitting linen pants sounds like something ai or a retard would come up with.

Got this season's Ralph Lauren striped linen trousers from TK Maxx for £45, just pair them with plain coloured linen shirts and some deck shoes for my Summer outfit.
They're super comfy and the fit is great. RP always has excellent quality and (at the TK Maxx discount) very good value.

Should you always tuck in with these kinds of pants? I don't like tucking in it looks weird imo
>>
>>18127231
I wear them all summer, they’re great. I don’t think they have any particular class affiliation. My favourite pair are from Abercrombie, surprisingly
>>
Should these be at ankle length or should they be a bit longer and stack a bit? Doesn't the latter look sloppy
>>
>>18127999
If you're wearing them for summer, then they should be around ankle length so that the can drape on your legs like curtains and let air flow freely into them. Either way, stacking never looks good with any pants that are not jeans.
>>
Are there zara ones any good
>>
>>18127231
The problem I've found is that they tend to be too thin. If they're white, they will show your underwear, even if you're wearing white underwear. I could maybe get darker color ones but that kind of defeats the purpose of the clothes cooling you down.

>but that kind of defeats the purpose of the clothes cooling you down
that's a commonly held misconception. the color of your garment only matters for how cool you stay if its tight fitting and against the skin. look at bedouin desert robes they're black. for loose fitting garments the color doesn't matter and dark color clothes may have the sensation of being a bit cooler than light color clothes when baggy.

'why do bedouins wear black robes in hot deserts'

>>
>>18127994
No.The models tuck with these pants probably so that you can see that they're drawstring pants. The entire point of wearing these pants is to keep yourself cool. Tucking adds another layer or two of fabric inside your pants, which will heat you up. You are not supposed to tuck with linen/drawstring pants, especially if you're wearing them in the summer.

You faggot mutts do realize that linen clothes historically were cheap peasant clothes that everyone and their father wore, right? Even today most people in tropical regions wear linen and cotton draw string pants in summer, and in traditional attires.

>>18127267
Idk the drawstring always looks tacky to me. If you're gonna wear sweatpants wear sweatpants, all the drawstring stuff looks dorky when the rest of the outfit is leaning more preppy.
>>
>>18128840
For one, there's nothing tacky about drawstrings. They won't even be visible unless you're tucking, and it's not necessary to tuck with drawstring pants. And sweat pants are like 4 times thicker than linen/cotton drawstring pants. They're not for summer. And sweatpants aren't made of linen or even 100% cotton to begin with. They're full of degenerate plastic, which again is not suitable for summer.

>>18128484
Yeah, how did Americans get memed into thinking jeans are the be all end all of men's trousers? What a sad and miserable way to live. As if it's not bad enough men don't have many choices to begin with when it comes to clothing, compared to women.

welcome sajnay! you must be still figuring out cultural and social norms in america/canada. no self respecting white man would ever wear linen pants that fit like the OP pic. that fit is straight outta mumbai ranjeetwear with the tiny leg opening, carrot shaped legs, etc. bollywood flow (that's a euphemism for diarrhea) street shitting attire.
if you think dressing in $9 drawstring peasant pants from shein is "high class" you truly have no idea what class even looks like singh.

>>18129528
why do so many third worlders think drawstring linen (peasant) pants are high class? go on youtube and type "pakistani tire" right now. same pants you see child laborers who can't even afford sandals while welding truck frames all day wear. its low class peasant attire.

Hey good to hear. Which ones did you get? Cotton/Linen blend, or pure Linen?
>>
>>18133376
Pure linen, the ones with a useless drawstring (since there's a button). I like the high waist, I'm used to low waist jeans so this is nice
I might buy two more just so I have enough for a full summer rotation.

I need shoe ideas though, any recs? Summer Walk loafers from LP are nice but expensive as fuck, I'm looking to get maybe two pairs of shoes. Already have chelseas for winter but those go better with wool pants I think
