Do you own any teal clothing? If so, what do you like to pair it with? I don't know why but I always have a hard time looking good in teal. Every time I pair it with something, I think to myself that I'd just look better with a different color.

I use asafety razor and would regularly shave every day for up to a month without changing the blade, so I could believe that gillette could possibly last at least half as long as that. I find that the disposable razors or heads are prone to rusting though
>>18286126
I used to but it was school colors and went with black gray and white. If it doesn't look good it's probably a skintone issue. I don't like it because I can tell it's just one of those colors that probably goes with other odd colors

be aware its not going to be that great of wool and the difference between cheap and good wool is night and day. you're getting what you pay for. there are deals to be had on wool if you go direct to the companies that frame sweaters for designer&luxury brands. but generally you get what you pay for. moreso with wool than other garments because there's just so much variance.
cheap wool has a fuzzier texture, not nearly as durable, and its not as nice of texture. if you have sensitive skin avoid lower grade wool as it'll give you rashes and be unwearable without layering long sleeves under.

Now that I've tried cotton pants, it's making me wonder why I would consider wearing jeans of the same color again. In what situations would you recommend choosing jeans over pants? These aren't pleated.
>>
>>18288011
Denim texture is different than cotton twill or whatever you're comparing it with, will age better, and properly made jeans are very hard wearing.
>>
>>18288011
denim and twill pants are very similar as denim's a type of twill. denim tends to be harder wearing and more breathable than tighter arrangements. and it ages the best. both have their time and place, twill pants and chino weaves and such are a bit better suited to daily life while denim's better for doing work in.

you can direct buy but you have to arrange a place in china for everything to get sent to then arrange the international shipping and customs shit. agent fee is worth it if you're not doing big ass orders but if you have multiple hobbies that involve taobao and buy shit in bulk direct buying is worth learning.
oh also the agents will repack your shit to make it ship cheaper which with clothing usually makes up for the entire agent fee.
>>
>>18288564
oh yeah direct buy is also good for single items like a pair of shoes or w/e.
big or single item orders basically. otherwise i personally just use an agent as someone who's done it before.

200 is the price from western retailers with tariffs and shit. the shirts are like 150 in japan. everyone else is charging 150 for a shirt made from that same fabric and its not an off the shelf fabric your tailor can make you a shirt with.

Don't develop an eating disorder, broski. Slow and steady, nor more than ~2lbs a week max. Download MyFitnessPal and log your shit, being conciouss of how many calories you're eating makes the biggest difference. Switch to diet soda/0 cal drinks if you haven't already, makes the biggest difference for most people and its easy. Diet soda stops tasting bad once you haven't had regular for a while.

Shit like sparkling ice is a good bridge. Tastes good, not a "lesser" version of anything and is like 5 cal a bottle.

Getting some exercise helps too but diet is more important. You can eat like shit and still lose weight if you control your portions btw.

200 astra platinum blades = $17 on amazon
3 tins of proraso white = $30 on amazon
my handle was $15, my silvertip badger brush was $40 i think both are getting close to 20yrs old.
$55 initial cost, $23.50 per year
+$20 if you want to include a bottle of lotion and a thing of coconut oil and a thing of witch hazel and include my skincare.
i get a shave as close as the day i was born and never cut myself or irritate my skin in the amount of time my conditioner takes to soak. and i can bang out a visually but not against the grain feel-smooth shave in like 90 seconds blind without a mirror in the shower when i travel.

also pro gamer tip if you like to go between having facial hair/beard and clean shave get a pair of head clippers and some guards and a good electric foil shaver. zorch it down with that before doing a double edge safety razor shave.

Big headphones came back into fashion last year and they're still kind of around. I dunno why. They definitely work better as an accessory than fucking airpods though.

Headphones can add color, effect your sillouhette and are better for actually listening to music so they signal that music is an interest for you.

Airpods get lost, do nothing for your fit and signal that you're a brainless ape who gobbles apple cock

Chino shorts, ditch the cargo pockets. Various neutrals and earthtones. This plus plain colored Ts and some kind of interesting shirts is always gonna be passable.

Can also try linen pants for hot weather when you're sick of wearing shorts or want to look a little less casual.

For a fashion noob, only one piece of patterned clothing per outfit. Probably stay away from graphic tees for now. Start making outfits you like without putting your favorite band or video game on it and you'll naturally start to understand where and when that shit can be worked in, because you'll be thinking about what the shirt actuslly looks like instead of what it is.

If you really want to start dressing better, you're gonna have to make it a hobby/interest. Start a seperate instagram for following fashion guys, bookmark shit you like. Think about why you like it.

Watch some fashion youtubers. Frugal Aesthetic is really easy to get into if you're a 4chan shitposter, I'm like 80% sure that asshole used to post here, maybe still does. I also like Drew Joiner. There are a shitton of videos out there about color theory, proportions, materials etc. You'll level up immensely once you understand those things.

I should say. Like this.

Is this effay? Fuck no. But its a far sight better than the zelda tee and cargo shorts combo and most anons can accomplish it without buying a completely new wardrobe.

Also being effay in hot weather is notoriously shitty and difficult so good luck
>>
>>18297295

>>
>>18297315
Depends on the fit but I think people around here get way too autistic about shorts lengths. Wear what you're comfortable with but on the whole unless they're REALLY short or past the knees the length isn't gonna make or break the look.

camp/cuban collar shirts, aloha shirts and bowling shirts are great in hot weather.
you can't be cheap with your shirting in hot weather and look nice. you have to actually learn about textile and what fabrics breathe well, or at least shop in person where you can feel/try things on, at places that will actually have nice fabrics.
buy from brands that tell you the fabric weight and ideally give detailed macro shots of the fabric. learn what types of weaves are airy and good for hot weather like seersucker, chambray, barkcloth, etc there's tons to learn about. learn about different fibers they can be made of too. silk, cotton, and the higher end types of rayon fare well when its hot out. some wools can even be thin enough to be quite nice in that weather.
>you can't be cheap
you can be quite frugal about it with enough knowledge, its called ebay and yahoo auctions japan and 2nd hand/vintage. but you can't just wear fast fashion slop off the rack and expect it to be comfortable and also look nice at the same time in florida weather.

>>18297295
imo 99% of what fashion youtubers say dont apply to mfs who live in deserts and tropical island type climates.
>>
>>18297380
Depends on what bits. A video about jacket types might not be useful but videos on stuff like colors and proportions and stuff like acessories should be plenty applicable. Most of these dudes live in places where it breaks 100 degrees in July/August and their summer content should be relevant.

Steer clear of menswear autists if you're trying to dress casual

make sure you have a nice belt and wear your pants at your waist properly like a man. most manchilds i help don't wear a belt and sag their pants. tee shirts are fine but avoid graphics and tuck them or hem them so they're just below your belt to mid fly length anywhere between there.

moccasins, camp shoes, boat shoes etc are a good way away from sneakers. also a lot more comfortable and longer lasting if you buy something from a real shoemaker not a fashion brand.
canvas plimsoll/tennis shoe type sneakers are grown up and perfectly fine in hot climates as well.

I have a leather hat made of some kind of nubuck with a crocodile leather strap around it. What's the recommended leather cleaner/conditioner and does it have to be carefully used separately between the two leathers? Bickmore4 for the hat and exotic leather conditioner for the strap?
Google hasn't been clear on that answer
I wear it at work so it's exposed to lots of sweat, dust, and heat.

Do I need to keep the nubuck conditioner off of the crocodile and visa versa? Can I clean the smooth side with the nubuck cleaner. The bottle says not to use on smooth leather but it's just the backside of the napped stuff. I really want to avoid discoloration and I know mink oil will make it dark as fuck

I was curious about linen until an older Southern woman working at the local Brooks Brothers gave me a comprehensive rundown on why I needed to disregard linen. Basically, it wrinkles to hell when you look at it funny, is a bitch to keep it looking halfway decent during the day as a result, and the quality stuff can be heavier than worsted wool and warmer as a result. I've generally avoided it as an option since then.
Right now I just want to ditch the cargo shorts for something comfy with a bit better fashion sense and some casual shoes that are not Reefs. I love my reefs but I despise wearing close toed shoes with shorts for anything except manual labor. I can't find casual shoes that don't make me look fucking stupid when worn with shorts.

she's spot on i've been trying to tell anons this for ages and that they need to just learn about textile and fabric weaves but they sperg out any time i say linen is mediocre and got replaced by cotton for good reason.
lightweight chambray and seersucker are great for texas weather. with the right weaves and a looser fit (i wear traditional to trim) you hardly feel the need to roll your sleeves even when its really hot out.

I don't buy it. You just got crabbed by some old woman. Yeah it's wrinkly but that's part of the appeal. I own thin wool shirts and pound for pound wool it's absolutely warmer than linen although it's a highly breathy warmth. The down sides of linen are that it like to shrink so buy a size up and you have to iron it after washing and wears. Honestly anon just thrift something and try it out and see if it's for you
>>
>>18300015

I couldn't believe it, I started questioning wether it was fake or not even though it's impossible. I only bought it because I got a £50 voucher and wanted a plain gray top with a logo. Bizarre. I ironed when I was forced and it made me relaxed and appreciate my clothes when I wear them. Now I'm left with the feeling and I've been looking an entire month for a good one.
>>

>>
>>18301019
qual went down like 2005ish if i remember correct. anything like 90s or older is kino. no idea on ironing board i bought mine like 20yrs ago at a goodwill. you'll want to have a nice flat sturdy board you can do stuff like iron and set creases with too when you want a hard surface instead of a soft one. and you'll want to get a couple thin cotton rags for when you want to steam press stuff or iron very heat sensitive materials to put between the iron and garment. i just use a couple bandanas that's about the thickness you want.
>>
>board
i dont mean the ironing board itself just something to set on it lol
i use a piece of scrap 2x6 wood and i just store it on a flat section of floor with weight on it to combat warpage kinda ghetto but it works great.
also you'll want a few covers for your ironing board ideally not just 1. say you starch a garment on them its gonna be all gross and sticky if you forgot to throw a towel down.

I have some heavy grey flannel trousers that look a bit like this except they have a fishtail back, outward (single) pleats and cuffs. They're also higher waisted and don't have belt loops (side tabs and brace buttons).

When do I wear them, and what do I wear them with? They're too formal for work, and if I have a more formal do, I'd put on a suit, which is a shame because the shape and drape I get from them is awesome.

hi /fa/
im a skinny individual, 5'11ish height with longer arms. i have lots of trouble finding dress shirts that fit me. unfortunately the smaller shirts always have shortened sleeves which look quite bad, and the bigger shirts (even slim fits) have large collars that leave a lot of space around my neck.

I dont want to go MTM. I shopped around and found that a slim fit 14" collar with 34/35" sleeves works reasonably well. But I only found a couple of brands with that odd sizing (14" collars usually only come with 32" sleeves) and they are $100+ each.

i looked online and they have $5-10 shirts on aliexpress and i figure they are worth a shot. but i cant for the life of me understand how sizing works on that site. is there a guide or something out there, i feel like a /fa/ autist would have done a deep dive onto clothes on aliexpress.

Ali express isn't a brand they're a retail service with absolutely no fucking quality control. Every thing you buy from there is from some chinese sweatshop that can't get their products listed on a real website. >>
>>18303697
I will be going from Hiroshima all the way up to Sapporo
>>
>>18303700
Okay cool. Sapporo can definitely get pretty cold but not usually sub zero so you aren't gonna need like survival gear. You have a lot of options. Hard to say where to start since I don't know your style, but I usually wear something like a wool peacoat, some kinda mid layer like a sweater, a scarf, wool or mixed wool gloves and a knitted cap. Gives you some versatility for changing weather--can bring the scarf up over your face, close the coat and pull the cap down over your ears if the wind's blowing at night but can undo the coat and scarf during the day so you're not sweating. Maybe some kinda bag so you can stow the cap and gloves if you need.

I find that scarves are really fun to mess with from a fashion perspective, you can wear them a bunch of ways and they can be good showcase pieces--I usually wear a red one with my gray coat and black slacks or jeans.

My favorite gloves are a mixed wool pair from, of all things, H&M. They were probably made by some impoverished 12 year old in Bangladesh but they're the right mix of comfortable, flexible and decent looking.

Don't wear nice leather shoes--ice melt salt will fuck them up
>>
>>18303703
>>18303700
Some different ways to wear a scarf
>>
>>18303704
If it's cold as fuck and you're wearing a zippered jacket, I recommend putting one end into your jacket, wrapping it around your neck and a second time around your face like you're a kid playing ninja, then putting the other end into the jacket and zipping it up tight. You can pull it off and on your face and it should stay and your neck will be nice and toasty.

I live in a place where it tends to get to like -15 a few times a year so sometimes it's more about staying warm than looking good but I do also like the look it gives when the scarf is pulled down.

trust me on this anon buy all your sportswear and gym clothes vintage on ebay depop shopgoodwill etc. modern sportswear is garbage and low quality AND expensive. its not like hiking gear there have been no improvements to materials since the 1960's things have only cheapened.
ebay is full of 1970's to early 2000's sportswear made to a lot higher of a standard than things are today, for cheap. sportswear only gets expensive when you go 1960's and older.
compare these nike warm up pants to the garbage you can buy today. the face material is much finer of a weave and has a much more satin texture to the touch than my modern ones. the logo is embroidered instead of heat appliqued on. the logos tend to not be as obnoxious. they have a cotton liner. the liner is soft as fuck. the zips are ykk and butter smooth. the sewing has less corners cut so things like shoving your hand in the pocket hard doesn't pop stitches. and most importantly NO SPANDEX.
some stuff like hoodies you can still get nice stuff. champion didn't really go down in qual too much.

lmao where in the fuck did you get that? I just want the outfit cause I think it looks nice for a workout outfit. I might be short and baby faced but im nowhere near looking like an anime twink. Nothing wrong with taking some inspiration from anime or any media faggot.

Can I please get a picture of what to ask for ? Perhaps some easy instructions to follow so that the retard cutting my hair doesnt have an aneurysm?

Why not just wear a little hipster cap. You're wearing a stupid used leather jacket like one so it'll match.

Speaking of leather Jackets I've got a Ralph Lauren lamb skin, but I can't wear it because it's stained. Is there a way I can just bleach the whole jacket?

God fucking damn it, every goddamn time and I went to one of Paris most expensive and prestigious barber, spent 40 euros on the damn thing, and they wanted me to pay 50, for fucking up my hair.
French barbers are a nightmare it's baffling to me how not a single one of my friends and family ever found a barber worth 2 shits it's infuriating.
Anyway that picture is kind of shit here's another one, it's probably gonna look better within a week I hope. At least that looks better than whatever the fuck yesterday's barber did.

It's okay. Your head shape and hair is different to the pics you posted. But it doesn't really matter, you're young and :3 and probably nice and intelligent, so hair doesn't really matter.

Literally a trap for middle class Americans who put too much value in brand power. Clothing should look nice yes but it should also feel comfortable and last you a good while. If your main concern was branding then you were never /fa/.

i'm looking at wool leg warmers, should i be buying the right size or buy larger and shrink for more material (more warmth)? can i shrink only length and not width? cashmere. Does wool only shrink first time in a dryer?
Also is there another name for this because this is the only one of its type, material, and length i could find. I don't like restricting feet or knees.

Does anyone know of any good corduroy trousers brands like Beams? I really like Beams but I don't know why they cut such short inseams.
