How many rest days do you take in a week?
>>
Rest...day...?
>>
mate I don't even have week days on my calendar. Only strong days
>>
>>46802271
About 8 yes?
>>
Zero for the most part. Just training at varying intensities. 3 or 4 high intensity days, the rest of days are spent doing something i enjoy like skateboarding

I lift M/W/F so most of the time 4. I try to do something active on the weekend but it's usually not nearly as intense as a workout.

Resting is great. I enjoy it as much as I enjoy hard work.

Wednesdays and the weekends. I'm friendless and alone in the office gym and Pisces' are unlucky on Wednesdays so I'm not gonna risk the misfortune of dropping dumbbells on my face on Wednesdays.

Generally only one, but that can vary if I didn't sleep properly

you argue with me from a defensive position. I've already won. You lost as soon as you replied, and right now you're only digging yourself deeper. I made a reply to no one, and you took offence. The best thing you could've done was to simply not reply, yet your own ego would not allow that.

Think twice before you post next time.

i didn't take "offence". i pity you as you need validation from others instead of lifting for yourself

i think its fair to say that working out almost every day in a week borders on the obsessive. I remarked on this and you immediately leapt to defend such behavior. What I said isn't wrong. All things are good in moderation, but the fact that so many here spends so much time on a single thing suggests that they're just avoiding other problems.

>i was not offended
no one else replied, why do you think that is? Do you think it's because they thought "yeah, thats bait" or was it "well, i don't work out more then 4 times a week, so i dont identify with the subject of this post"?

rest days are a meme forced by the fitness industrial complex into slowing gains and extracting more money
>>
>>46806652
Is this true? I unironically lift 7 days a week started lifting about a month ago
>>
>>46806805
No
it is pretty fucking simple

break your muscle fibers doing exercise > they re grow bigger> break them again > repeat

you need time for them to regrow

two workouts per week give me exact same results as 3 or 4 or more
