It really clicked when I actually started counting calories and saw the scale consistently go down as a result of that. It was no longer a question of if but when at that point. It made weight loss (and soon will make maintenance too) something tangible instead of being clouded in mystery. It removed the need to ask myself whether I could eat something and allowed me to KNOW if I could eat it. No more guessing.Also learned to enjoy things in moderation thanks to approaching the issue at least somewhat objectively. Nowadays I can have that single cookie or even just one piece of candy without devouring the whole package in one sitting. Eating more would be quite pointless anyway, since there isn't anything new after that first bite. I actually have 10000+kcal worth of sweets in arm's reach as I'm typing this and don't feel tempted by them. How long should I wait after a cardio workout in the morning to actually eat my real breakfast? I usually eat something small before the workout, 30 minutes to an hour before (while I prepare real breakfast). Google has mixed messages. WHAT THE FUCK GUYS!?I've been on 4 weeks now on 1000 to 1200 calorie diet and exercising cardio. Am I losing muscle? Every fucking study and even a nurse I know told me I shouldn't go under 1500, but that rate seems SO FUCKING SLOW.
