this, it's just people sleep on rings but max deadhang+rows+diet is the ONLY thing that will give you back gains necessary to perform a pullup
it's actually crazy that due to all the sitting and shit if you are able to do 5 clean pullups you probably mog 99% of people you see in the street/at work/college, like the bar is THAT low
also you could try resistance band assisted pullups or something, or maybe you just weak in a specific position so maybe you could just practice partial rom, say the lower or upper portion only

Do jackknife pull ups. Be sure to support with your feet at the top position of the pullup and not the bottom to get the most out of the lengthened partial rom.
And of course inverted rows. Maybe you should regress to or do scapular pull ups as a warm up too.
Getting to proper pull ups is not the problem but getting the reps in is.

No, your feet rest on some sort of box just slightly elevated. I meant that you can help out with your legs by pushing them into the ground or box when doing pull ups. And do that rather in the top range of the pull up which is more demanding than the bottom. But milk the negative on the way down.
