What is something in lifting that seems counterintuitive but suprised you with good results?
>>76778435Ew. That one is gross.Wouldn't talk to her.
Run slow to increase speed
>>76778435Cutting out deadlifts for an extra squat day. Legs look better and I just feel better with more energy
>>76778435Cardio can boost appetite for bulking. If you don't go super hard or long you're not burning a lot of calories anyway but you might be able to get another meal in, so you'll end up in a surplus.
>>76778435Smoking is fucking disgusting.
>>76778461Next you say you don't like doing coke at parties
>>76778441Just deadlift with more reps in reserve
>>76778473No
>>76778439>>76778456How is this lifting??>>76778475Not that you could deadlift properly anyway
>>76778473>>76778475kek'd
>>76778435Less volume and lifting days
>>76778478I was repping almost mid 400's. I was doing fine
>>76778478How are cardio and diet not lifting related?
>>76778435Taking a 4 week machines-only break when my big compounds have stalled and /or I'm feeling beat up
>>76778435Not counting calories or consuming extra protein.I am gaining more muscle and maintaining leaner than I did when I tried being obsessive and pouring tons of money on supplements years ago.
>>76778478I'm lifting my foot from the ground
>>76778493Does this work better than a normal deload?
>>76778596It's not really a deload. You're still working all the same muscles with the same intensity. It's changing up the kind of stimulus is all and because machines are so crazy stable it's more surgical in hitting the target muscle while giving you less fatigue per set so you can do more
>>76778596>>76778896Even better than that : lower your frequency. Give each muscle 7 days to recover and even systemic fatigue will become an old memory.
>>76778461A drunk ciggy never hurt nobody
>>76778435Nothing surprises me
>>76778435@Gronk remove her cigarette
>>76779169S o y : the post
Machine work. Machines are excellent and if I had the choice between only doing machines and only doing free weights I’d choose machine every time. Clearly, you should do both but the “never use machines” crowd are just redditors and the same sort of people who think driving a manual car is being a racing driver
>>76778596no
>>76778435For me it was once a week running a very high rep count + low weight routine on muscle groups I lifted heavy on. Changed everything and I pushed through weight limits I never could before. I got the idea from reading an interview with Serge Nubret.
>>76778456cardio is a weird thing cause it's really good for bulking and fucking sucks for cutting. when bulking it gets you in good shape for training and you just eat more to not get into a deficit, when cutting it you go on a run on a deficit and just lose muscle
>>76778435Cup noodles.
Legs are easier to grow than upper body, everyone else told me otherwise but in my case I'm really struggling to build muscles on my upper body
>>76778435incline dumbell flye presses helped with my shoulder pain stretching out my chest helped with upper back pairslow lateral raises helped with my neck pain
First real set after warmup is the most important one and should not be wasted, go as heavy as possible and then reverse pyramid down Also cardio gives a buff to all lifts and is very important
>>76778461I'll smoke the burnt microplastic out of her pussy and then she'll be fine.
>>76779437but you're saying 2 different things here.
Doing less gives better results.Went from 5 days/week to 2.5Better results, feel better, less injuries.
>>76778435Imagine just whipping out your cock and pissing on her face right then and there.
>>76779842That's because you are a woman
>>76778596For me it does, but then again I've never liked ze Deload Week as prescribed by 531, GZCL, reddit, and so many othersIf the gains are rolling in and I feel able, I don't want to deload, I want to keep going. And if I truly have hit the wall, I probably need more than a week of taking it easy/easier.
>>76780904I just do 1 set of compounds then do isolation then fuck off. Even better than deloads or switching exercises.
>>76780904Deload weeks are incredibly retarded. You realistically never should need one. The problem is that powershitter programs make you do fatigue-inducing junk volume cuz muh big 4 531 gzcl powershitters are literal cavemen. Also, no shit you get past a plateau when you switch from a fatiguing compound for 5 sets to a stable machine that doesn't fry your body nearly as much. Think of OHP vs the machine shoulder press.
>>76781381Doing many sets of barbell compounds is retarded. 1-3 hard sets is enough.
>>76781399yep, I do 2 sets of DB incline and 2 sets of flat BB bench on my upper days and it's been working well
>>76778435Easy and often. Its sort of the method promoted by Dan John and Pavel Tsatsouline. Essentially do 2x5 of moderate intensity for a couple exercises, and do them 5 days a week. Only increase weight when it feels light. Man, it just works. Its like treating those lifts as a skill instead as a movement to cause a stress adaption. >Numbers go up>No fatigue, more energy>Takes 20 min a dayI'm starting a kettlebell routine doing kinda the same thing. The anti-glycolytic/A+A, which is similar. I'll work it through November and see how it works. As one anon said, there is no such thing as a free lunch, but this is as close as a person can get.
Really like this image. She looks slim and knockout pretty while also looking approachable and unattainable
>>76781453I've been looking into that Pave and Dan John training world. Seems pretty legit.
>>76781536And sweet
>>76778435More rest days less lifting days = more gainsDare I even utter the words but, Mentzer was right
Doin' queen squeezes grew my lats
>>76778435you dumb bitch fuck black gym
>>76778596Yes because no cns fatigue you can even keep the weights i chest press 140kg 1 handed row 140 shoulder press 120 etc for reps and sets dont even use legs to press the floor and cheat.techno gym machines the stack and extra plate pinload.roid dyels on /fit/ dont want you to know this
>>76778435Using barely any weight. Like 20-40lbs on the barbell for squats, deadlifts, bench. I have lifted like this for years and I'm still seeing strength and athleticism gains.
