What's your favorite kettlebell program? Have you done a 2-day per week program, for example while training BJJ or MMA? What were/are your goals?Currently working on getting 2x28kg up from 5-rep max on the clean and press + front squat up to 10. Doing Dry Fighting Weight (done it before with other weights) and coming off an injury so going slow.
>>76818018I've never done any strict programming with them but every once in awhile I'll play around with them on my pressing day instead of my usual barbell work. I like finding fucked up variants from obscure Russian videos to emulate and use as a test of strength.
>>76818018I jsut started a kettlebell routine today. I had this routine in my head for a while so I reckon I'll run it for a while>swings 10 min emom>pushups 10 min emom>cat stretch 5-10Probably do it 5-7 days a week. I've always been curious how it would work.
>>76818122I love checking out russia youtube fitness.
>>76818141>doing swings and push-ups>not doing the Quick & the Dead
>>76818154yah i know. my retard goal is to see how dense I can make a 10 min emom.
My recent EMOM so I can get used to heavier weight and eventually do GS with 2x32Kg (not comp weight, just prep).Warm up ~10'EMOM 40'x6 jerk with 32KgEMOM 20'x5 snatch 32KgCooldown/Stretching routine
>>76818018Why limit your front squat to only a weight and rep range you can press? These are separate movements. I would understand if it were a combat-ajacent conditioning circuit, except you're building to 10 whole reps. This seems just suboptimal for every performance-based goal.
>>76818018that clean and press pyramid program from an old Pavel Tsatsouline bookit takes a while but it workscurrently doing the 10k swing challenge which is probably bullshit but I'll finish it because it's an hard time in my life and I can't do anything elss
>>76818338The press program is called Rite of passage. It took me around 50 minutes with 24kg last time I did it like 3 years back if I remember correctly. 10K swing challenge is fine if you do the strength movements between the sets. Did it in 2019 and it had some pros and cons. Biggest con was I hate swings now and barely ever do them since.
>>76818338When Dan John came out with the 10,000 swing challenge, me and some internet lads decided to do a 10,000 swings in 10 days challenge. And I am convinced that Pavel's best training advice comes from his older books. Its like he got caught up in the technique/program autism of the West.
>>76818018Timeless Simple from S&S is the program I've actually run consistently and benefited from. It's not very daunting so even if I don't really want to work hard on a day, I can still make time for it. It's just 10x10 swings without a fixed rest, then 10 getups. Most of my problems have been from not reading the program carefully and from trying to move on from it too fast - f.e., I really like snatches but my form is just bad enough and my rest days are few enough that high volume snatches start hurting my hips.S&S doesn't have anything for upper body but I've been doing calisthenics as well, and I think that's improved my military press more than my actual presses have. Went from barely being able to press 3 reps of a baby weight with my weaker arm, a month ago, to a rest/pause superset of 8,5,3 reps of the same weight yesterday.>>76818333book answer is F=ma
>>76818141So Ive done this workout twice now. Still building the reps. Feels great though.
I don't have much time lately so I have to make everything as efficient as possible.Jerk 2x24kg 1' intervals 12,12,12,12,13,12,12,12,12,13Jerk 2x16kg 1' intervals15,18,19,19,20Snatch 24Kg 1' intervals5x(10+10)Snatch 16kg 2' intervals (11+10) + (10+11)Cooldown/stretching>>76820259What's the goal with this? Some kind of GPP? Just asking.
>>76821620>What's the goal with this? Some kind of GPP? Just asking.Just curiosity. I've never ran a kettlebell program/emom program before. Want to see how it works.
I’m doing a bullshit circuit I made up with 2x20s till failure, then same circuit with 2x16s till failure. Goal is 10 rounds with 2x20s.More of an experiment in conditioning and progression with kettlebells.
>>76822255I see. You will have to progress in reps and weight eventually but it can be something easy you can do every day, that's for sure. I would probably change the exercises here and there because of boredom from doing the same stuff over and over.>>76822276Not bad, I've used similar method for the ABC EMOM.
>>76818018I have 1 adjustable KB, the shape is shit so I can't do snatches and most other movements, but it's fine enough for swingsSo I just somethimes add 10 minutes of EMOM swings at the end of a workout as cardio Doing it with 14kg for now, feels good desu
>>76822333Can you post a pic? I've seen some retarded designs so I am wondering which one do you have.
>>76822286I took ABC added reps and a couple more exercises. I did ABC EMOM for 20 minutes with 20kb for about 2 months. I found it tedious, and I didn’t progress as much as I anticipated. When I look back at my logs, I think it was the lack of volume that slowed my progress. Hence this program. We’ll see how it goes.
>>76822345I only bought it because it was on offer, so it was slightly cheaper than just buying the plates (already had the adjustable DBs)
>>76818018>dyelbellNgmi
>>76818018>What's your favorite kettlebell program?I do 75 swings (in 3 sets right now) every other day. Goal being to do one set of 150 reps every weekday.
>>76822358Everyone progress differently. Mine was barely holding for 10 minutes ABC with 2x24Kg to doing 30 minutes in the couple of weeks but I only did it once a week and on Monday so I had two days rest before. Rest was just my GS training. >>76822369Ok, this looks absolutely stupid and I understand why it's suitable for swings only. Who the fuck design something like that and has the audacity to sell it lmao.
