>drop set every exercise, every session
Why shouldn't I do this? Not only is it more fun, but gives my muscles more opportunities to experience tension
>>
because then your following sets with that body part will be shit

it can hurt recovery.
There's nothing wrong with ending your last set with a drop set if you feel a muscle group needs more work.

What if you just did less sets overall though. Instead of 3 normal sets, you could do just 2 blocks of drop sets

Assuming you go heavy on your very first set, what is more beneficial for muscle growth?
>Resting and waiting for the next set with the same weight, or
>Immediately lowering the weight and trying to push further
I'm genuinely asking, because the latter feels more muscle stimulating, for me at least

That’s a fair question. Why don’t you actually do a heckin SCIENCE and run an experiment on yourself?

It is, without a doubt, the best way to lift weights. You need to figure out what works for YOU, and once you know the basic principles, asking other people what to do becomes pointless. Trial and error, my friend.

My personal opinion regarding this question is that you’re just going to needlessly tire yourself out on your first set. More reps = more weight moved = more gains. Like the other anon said, maybe just do the drop set on your last set and take it to full fatigue, I’m talking fatigued to the point where you fail while repping an empty barbell.
