This.
Japanese people eat very small portions compared to westerners.

No it isnt, I use my cutting board to dry off and season my meat. I also leave the meat on it as I prepare my grill/skillet. It is much more convenient to just grab a plate rather than washing your cutting board and letting your meat get cold.
>it works well
No it doesnt, wood will absorb the juices from your steak instead of the potatoes absorbing it. The only benefit is that it is bigger than a plate, if the size of plates really bother you just eat off your table like a jeet or get a bigger plate.

I was in Japan for 2 weeks late last year.
And no, they do not serve you huge portions of rice unless you go out of your way to order extra. Standard portions there are tiny compared to western portions (and especially compared to American portions).

They have a higher diabetes rate than the US. Their bodyweight is controlled by strict calorie restriction, but that doesn't mean rice is good for you.
People in the US are fast because of all the other crap they're eating. It's impossible to be fat on a diet of only steak and eggs.

Not a carnitard but it is interesting how vegetables were originally poisonous/inedible to humans.
Almost like we weren't meant to consume veggies.

Its also very interesting you dont take evolution into account when it comes to both vegetables and fruits, especially when humans were smart enough to do it to deal with growing populations. Very ironic
>>

I don't believe in macro evolution
>>
>>77280894

most plants are edible if you don’t mind shitting yourself later

>I mean if you look at the blowfish, it perfectly shows how we were never meant to eat meat

>>
>>77280785
I don't think huge bowls of rice are common in Japan, but Japan's diet is quite low fat and high in protein and carbs. I have made a lot of recipes from authors who live in Japan and generally find this to be true, though they eat beef and deep fried stuff on occasion, the rule seems to be lean fish, rice, a veggie dish, miso soup and pickles. Recipes will ask for very little fat.
>>
>>77280968
I'll also add that travelling to Japan paints a different picture of their diet, similar to other places. If you eat out all the time you aren't getting a good representation of their diet at home.
>>
>>77280148
High saturated fat - lead to high cholesterol. Gotta keep meats lean and likit number if eggs to 3-4 for the day

Virtually all vegetables before humans cultivated and bred out the toxins were inedible. Virtually all animals before humans cultivated and domesticated them were still edible.
Feel free to continue hyperventilating though.
>>
>>77280860
As a not-mentally-ill omnivore that is not cucking myself with some meme diet:
Go eat a poison dart frog and tell me how that goes.
Living beings set up defenses so that they don't get fucking eaten, wooow so deep, there must be some meaning behind it... but let me just ignore that the evil seeds that I hate are activelly encouraged to be eaten by plamts so that some of those seeds get pooped out whole, having a whole reason for animals to eat them
>>
>>77280968
They aren't most jap mostly eat home cooked meals with more modest portions compared to restaurant food
>>
>>77280148
There is no benefit to consuming lots of sat fat. It’s only carnitards who think it’s good for you. Never been a dietary requirement for it, no studies showing any benefits for eating high amounts and no normal people who eat meat and vegetables, grains, fruit, etc. advocate for it. It’s only carnivores who want an excuse to eat ribeyes everyday
>>
why do all these people eat off cutting boards?
>>
>>77281008
We aren't evolutionarily adapted to eating poison dart frogs. And those seeds want specific animals to eat them which doesnt include us
>>
>>77281007
I forage and eat wild leafy greens and roots in the spring and wild berries in the fall. They are less caloric than cultivated stuff to be sure, but no more toxic. Pretty much all humans who could eat plants did, there's a reason early people in the mediterranean weren't following greenland style all seal diets.
>>
>>77280312
Japs are generally pretty pudgy. It's just on a small frame so it doesn't look as fat when they're skinnyfat.

all life evolves ways to hopefully not die. animals have the ability to run away and/or fight attackers off. Plants don't have this ability, so they instead evolved chemical defenses. Except for their fruits, which evolved to be tasty to animals so that animals would eat the fruit and shit out the seeds to spread them.

Strange, I've never had a heart attack from red meat and I've massively upped my intake of it.

But mom and dad went on a cruise for a week and I started eating all healthy food since they no longer cooked their sloppa food. Every meal was fresh vegetables, beans, rice, tuna, olive oil, basically only "healthy" food for a week.
I had a bad reaction to the broccoli, inflamed my appendix, every time after I tried to eat broccoli severe stomach pains that last all day. Had to get my appendix taken out.

Now turns out this isn't just me, a whole lot of people are sensitive to broccoli. If you look up people trying to eat it for a week there's one that tried to do just broccoli who nearly died, he would have been fine if he fasted for a week but he got diverticulitis and was nearly dead at day 5.

Lifelong forager here, I forage and get like a couple hundred calories at most from wild plants. It's such a tiny and poor calorie source I'm convinced it's always been negligent, sometimes there's good tubers available, very rarely a good source of berries, other than that it's mostly low-calorie stuff you couldn't eat a significant amount of without making yourself sick.
>>77281490
