>a year after hyping up the STRETCH the fitness community does a complete 360 on their opinion of ithe's being ridiculed for it now
>>77280542The thing is, it has never really been the "stretch" that was achieving result. The stretch in the FitFluencer space was a by product of using full ROM during an exercise. All of these nerds doing half reps or momentum assisted exercises weren't properly lifting or achieving results, so telling them to push/pull until they feel a stretch was just a dumbed-down way of saying "use proper form through the full range of motion."
>>77280552No, that's wrong
>>77280552Yeah, they're just rephrasing and rebounding, just lift.
>>77280542I make the weight move until muscle tired can't move no more. big good
>>77280542I wouldnt even know who any of these useless youtube faggots are if you losers didnt spend all your time watching them then making threads all day long about how much you hate them.
>>77280552Talk about being a revisionist liar. Yes, it was always about the stretch itself being a big driver of hypertrophy. It was based on the shitty papers by Schoenfeld and the usual gang of hacks that claimed that the stretch portion of the ROM was more hypertrophic than the rest, thereby doing exercises like pic related that bias the stretch would directly result in better gains. It's why Jeffrey Nipples and every "science based" hack was shilling lengthened partials for a year as well. I don't understand what your goal is with being this disingenuous. No, it never was just a mechanism to promote full-rom to retards that couldn't be convinced otherwise.
>>77280542Is it true Israetel's wife left him because she couldn't handle how other women were constantly hitting on him? That's what Reddit says.
>>77280784His chopped kimchi wife found out he was gay.
>>77280784What woman wouldn't want to stay with a ugly, hairy manlet that abuses steroids, is constantly plagued by murderous thoughts and that publicly says his own wife isn't attractive to an audience of hundreds of thousands of people? He's such a catch.
>>77280795>His chopped kimchi wife found out he was gay.Nah, he's like a pajeet. Very horny but completely awkward and uncomfortable around women. His constant "here's another sexual innuendo heh heh I'm sure relaxed about sex it's no biggie for a stud like me who gets laid all the time heh heh that's why I seem oblivious to making people cringe at me heh heh"
>>77280542Ive said many times before but the fitness community is the easiest community to scam. You can literally sell ice water to the fitness community and they will come up with bullshit to prove it helps with fitness.
>>77280784LMAOOOOOO
>>77280542This is the face and body favored by women over age 22. Don't be misled by what teenagers prefer, like K-pop queerboys or whatever.
>>77280542What am I supposed to do then
>>77280836Just do full ROM with standard exercises and push sets close or to failure.
>>77280739That dumbell variation is actually goated for hitting the long head and bicep nigga Mike isn't all bad just a meme good advice mixed with really bad advice and sub par advice ...
>>77281015Every curl hits the long head of the bicep significantly but if you want to be muh optimal just do incline curls. The position of the arm/shoulder relative to the torso is the same and you don't look like a stupid bozo doing them.
>>77280739I don't understand what you felt was disingenuous about the truth? If you do full ROM, your muscles are going to stretch. It's literally that simple...
>>77280542>>77280552You're absolutely retarded. Stretch and forced momentum reps are the pinnacle of broscience. Ignore the shitty music, i couldnt find bromleys short/video on ithttps://youtube.com/shorts/RNuIHCIqqxcIf any of these guys actually did this they'd be absolutely fucking yoked but they dont, mike is the most perfect form no momentum purist ever even in his powerlifting days
https://youtube.com/shorts/AKe4ZXZ_Gzc?si=4UOOJnEJpYLFyG3TLook at this. All oly lifters also focus on the stretch and explosiveness.
>>77281049>The stretch in the FitFluencer space was a by product of using full ROM during an exercise. This is a lie.>All of these nerds doing half reps or momentum assisted exercises weren't properly lifting or achieving results, so telling them to push/pull until they feel a stretch was just a dumbed-down way of saying "use proper form through the full range of motion."This is a lie.It was explicitly claimed that the stretch portion of a rep was the most hypertrophic to the point that doing lengthened partial reps was worthwhile. You know what lengthen partials are? The opposite of full ROM.Fuck you.
>>77281067that's because olympic lifts require explosiveness from a stretched position...?
>>77281173And they're all also jacked as fuck and aesthetic. See the link i posted above also.>Muh roids The equalizer is there for everyone already. None of the "science" guys have remarkable traps or overall back, in fact it's their weakest point for people like mike or nipples or cavaliere. They dont do the full extent of cheating reps stretch, they're all full rom maniacs which a lot of people confuse with getting a deep stretch including mike and his stupid laying down curl for example
>>77280542Like everything in fitness it needs to be better contextualized. Chasing a stretch on the chest is usually good because it almost always means retraction of the scapula and better recruitment through the rep and less danger posed to the shoulder. It's not nessisary to build muscle though but the end result of doing it will help you build to a higher celing than had you not. Because of being able to avoid injuries and having to reprogram to correct for imbalances and what not.Part of that can be true for the quads or hamstrings although in that context it will improve mobility but limit the celing of those lifts.Lifting science in general is garbage at communicating anything other than what's true for a statically average person in a very narrow window of time. People like mr. mike will often make huge leaps in what this could mean for long term outcomes and that's obviously bullshit. When we can see people not aggregates doing something entirely diffent with the results we want. Those people are who you should listen to or at the very least people who are more critical of the science or read enough of it to see a bigger a picture and don't need a meta to see where the middle is (Lyle).
>>77281208I don't understand this charitable framing. It is claimed that the stretch in and of itself is the most hypertrophic part of the lift. That is what the popsci claim by mr kike, jeff nipples and every other retard downstream of them was. Not that the second order effects of getting a stretch is a full ROM which in turn causes better form which in turn decreases injury risk etc. Like what the fuck are we even talking about here? They were explicit, they were bullshitting and the supposed credibility of their lengthened partial nonsense were their buttbuddies like Schoenfeld with their n=20 study on untrained lifters.
>>77281217That the claim is wrong but that doesn't preclude it having a use or being desirable. The practicality of something in lifting is almost alway left off the table with these guys which is huge mistake for them but what pros and real coaches always focus on.
>>77280703ah, thank you, I've changed my opinion.
>>77280739Why's he wearing VanDykes? Don't they make you appear shorter?
>>77280542>weirdo manlet jew with a shoddy PhDThe biggest stupidity is that people ever listen to him on anything. Better off listening to Rip
>>77280542>professor x looking faggot can't run a mileI don't care what he says
>>77282985>Better off listening to RipNo, Mark Rip-ur-toes is even worse than """Dr.""" Mike and just preaches self-harm disguised as exercise.
>>77281077Yes. Don't let these faggots live it down. It was "muh stretch mediated hypertrophy" the whole time fucking charlatans.
>>77283000Fuck off mike and your bought script to get digits
>>77283279I'm not even """Dr.""" Mike or using a script; I just think that ugly obese midget gives *slightly* better advice than Mark the undercover Medtronic salesman.
>>77280542
>>77280542It's almost like what he shilled doesn't work.
